This month turned into a bit of a pastel special, but here we go in any case...

Princess time blue Nanoha

For Nanoha's catch-up set I decided to put her into a y!ja lingerie set that was last seen on Beatrice years ago with questionable lighting ...

lighting is still not perfect, but at least now is less questionable.
Also the pastel blue goes with the big blue eyes which was still the best I have in inventory for her.

all in all was a nice set to make despite the carrot eyebrows clashing a little with the silver hair.

Megapink Nia

I decided to ignore the valentines heartbreaker photos I took with Nia as a definition of when photographed last, and plonked her unmodded DDH01-ness back onto a MDD body for this set.

As in the valentine photos her eyes are still the red WDS cat eyes, since the blue and purple twin snow items that made her initial look have been put to use in cases that needed them more. but red goes into the same spectrum as pink... right?

The wig was something I had chopped up a long time ago, and also gave it a bit of a spruce up. Trying my best with normal scissors to make the edges seem a bit less chopped, and also redid the braid that was a mess of fly aways.

The white ears and tail clash a bit, but as funds are limited the salmon pink sujin ears are not on the to-buy list at the moment.

Aloof Maya

I noticed that I had been ignoring my Maya (LAS Marya) for a few years now, mostly because she's been a bit of a weirdo to photograph.

either her body hasnt co-operated when her head is on it (its in use for Albert and Kira on the side), or She's just somehow hard to get a consistant good vibe going on.

But I decided to give it a bash again, and I found that having her be a bit camera-shy and aloof went a long way to keep the set going ...

and then going for the full yandere effect with the camera focus shots...

The bunny bondage outfits were technically in a cooldown period, but decided to ignore it in favor of the pink set I have, just because I was struggling to find stuff to work with Maya, that wasnt a lingerie set ... or just blaaaaaaack
The Meka-mouse earband was thrown in since the sets bunnyears are way too big to try and keep in reasonably framed shots.

Unfortunately my background was a bit too dark for the optional natural colored shino wig, but Maya looks best in the dark stuff... so there is that as a known issue.
also the white balance had her seem a bit more ashen in skintone than I would have imagined, but I guess it goes with the whole dark priestess thing she has going on for herself...

A small addendum to this theme...

Noted that I hadnt taken photos of my Mk1 Illya in over five years, due to taking note of a factory eye alignment issue .. which turned out to be the same problem as with Nanoha, being the eyes are just too big for the head, and needed a bit of a shave for proper zero-toe out.

So I then proceded to roll 'er into a volks mdd sized kimono, which went as well as youd imagine, pricking fingers with sewing needles while doing the shortening fold and getting blood stains here and there... it totally not wanting to fit hence the weird nape of the neck area, and afterwards just being a bit of a handfull to pose, despite the gen1 MDD body being given a once over, and should have been easier to deal with...

only to find out that now the other eye was out of alignment... great.

anyways, since I dont think I'll be doing more photo's this month, I decided to stick the few shots here as a caboose of sorts...

(FYI, that's not a CCS wand, it's Ruby, Illya's familiar/wand from the Prisma Fate spinoff.)

And your Illya looks so different from mine.  You said she was the 1st release, so the standard Fate Illya?  I did not realize that they had done her so different from the Prisma Illya.  The sculpts even look different.

to be pedantic, Ruby apparently first appeared in Fate Hollow ataraxia as a comedic gag with Rin. But its sort of a easy mistake, considering the carnival phatasm style half serious half parody thing going on. The biggest obvious difference being the center star, witch is five pointed on ruby, versus sakuras six ... for which there is Sapphire with the six pointed star, but blue in color ... (also the twosome was then made into another inside joke by giving Ruby and Sapphire the same voice actresses as Hisui and Kohaku from the Melty blood game) .. Of which unfortunately Miyu Matsuki died at a relative young age, and the role of sapphire was given to Yumi Kakazu who voices Hisui in the Tsukihime anime

(And yes, as I just started rewatching the series, and pondered about the production timelines with the orignal manga series.)

 

EDIT: and im talking out of my butt again, sakura's wand also has five points on the star, so the main difference being the size of the wings.

Yup, their different. probably due to reasons mentioned above, Prisma Illya is a bit more childish, while original Illya is a bit more moody looking ... though to be fair, illya isnt really a happy character in the main Fate series, especially in the UBW anime.
