Recently, some Dolly Bingo cards have been floating around Instagram that are super-focused on how much you spend, how much you own, etc. Very "doll consumer" instead of "doll collector." So some friends and I worked together to make a new Doll Bingo card that was all about how you experience your hobby, and I thought I'd share here too in case anyone else found it fun. I actually considered (and started) making a Miku DD specific one, since she's such a 'gateway' doll for many people, but never got around to finishing it. I think it'd be so fun to have other, more specific ones too, but I really love this general Doll Collecting one! While this makes me smile, it saddens me that so many of us had to defend our hobby to friends and family. I know I've taken my fair share of 'comments'. Monty Posted January 19, 2021 (edited) I got every square except for the 3 injury related ones, so 4 bingos for me! That doesn’t mean I haven’t injured myself, just not in those specific ways. I’m team ‘hurt back as result of photography pose for extended period’ and team ‘kneeled on a rock trying to take a photo’. I was also kinda disappointed seeing all the other ones that focussed on amount spent and owned over actual hobby engagement, so I much prefer this one. Veravey Posted January 19, 2021 Here's mine! This was fun to do Defo going to continue it this year. Also, I got my very first dolls (SD Ruby and SD Moment)!! I actually got them in November but I've been so busy I still haven't had a chance to share them here yet, and I'm waiting for the perfect wig for one of them (classic, right?) There's a couple that I'm on the fence about checking off: I don't usually buy dolls to shell a pre-existing OC, but then they kind of become OCs as I go through the process of styling them; and I've purchased things from Etsy sellers, but nothing especially custom--would that still be considered paying to make something special? Anna-neko Posted January 20, 2021 not even sure what to count this as - but I have almost got heatstroke because was too focused on a photoshoot [thats kinda an injury, yeah?], had a massive arthritis flare up due to spending a day doin a photoshoot AND that other time dove to save a doll from falling, accidentally bumping my camera on something hard in the process (luckily the warranty was still covering camera. Oculae Posted August 18, 2022 I am....almost embarrassed by this. 🤣 Mostly though, I'm extremely mad that I don't have a full card yet! I gotta learn the meditative benefits of doll clothing changes so I can do them more often. The injury will probably happen once I finally have time to take Eiran or Poppy out somewhere more dangerous for photos, lol. This was fun! Great work on the card! 2 Please ping me when replying!
