This is part of the Snow Miku Reboot event Volks announced a few months back. I think this is the first confirmation we have that the upgraded Snow Miku would be available through Volks USA. 

I am so incredibly excited for these releases 🥰

So are pre-orders different from click wars?

Yes, all who pre-order are guaranteed to get what they order. No limits to how many people can order as long as it is within the pre-order period.

So this is for Snow Miku reboot and the Glowing Snow outfit separately, or do you get both?

Separately.  Snow Miku Reboot only comes with the standard Snow Miku outfit.  The Glowing Snow version outfit is also being released for preorder at the same time, so you'll have the option to buy both, if you want both.

It's because those are the new dates for the Snow Miku festival, which was postponed.

I apologize in advance for the noob question - Why do they allow deposits on Snow Miku and not on other pre-orders I have seen? Is this going to be a 1 year wait like 2B and 9S were?

It varies from project to project. 

From a Volks perspective full pay vs. deposit is likely due to people reneging on their purchase commitment, and that leaves Volks having to store the unsold dolls until they can sell them.

Just a quick double check for my sake but as someone who ordered in the very last order window, my doll will ship last and thus I’ll also be asked to pay the second half last? (Ie. second payment requests don’t all come at once)

I paid in full for my Snow Miku through Volks USA.  At the time it said "Winter" as the delivery so should I still be expecting something like February 2022?

The release for Japan (at least first round orders) was supposed to be fall so maybe you will see it come a bit earlier?  (The outfit is still slated for the fall though right now)  Meiko and Rena online orders have been shipping in Japan but I don’t think the US has started yet (and this despite Rena now literally just being on sale in the Japan store) so there’s definitely a delay between the two but I’d take them shipping her now as a positive sign.

Oh man I hope she comes early, that would be incredible!

US doll orders and other products headed to Volks USA come over on a ship, so there is usually a delay of 6 - 8 weeks between the release in Japan and the release in North America.

YES. She is coming home. I'm suppose to get her this coming Friday.

my first notification gave me a tracking number which had an estimated delivery date of Monday. She shows up on Saturday. I guess it helps being in the same state.

I'm also getting her friday!! Super hyped!!

I might be the only one who did, but if you ordered in the second window for the Japanese online store (March 19-21), I just got my second payment email.  Dolls to start shipping from October 9, Payment Deadline November 7.
