Gweneveryn Posted March 25, 2021 I'm wondering what the Volks bodystocking is made out of, and would it be possible to dye it the same way you can with the bodies? I'm looking into making a custom close fitting outfit as I do not want to dye the body, and I'm really unsure how well the material will take to colour or if this is something someone here has tried before. (I'd also be open to body blushing if possible, however I have no idea how to seal those and I'm aware many sealants crack if the material under it is flexible)
Bellatrix Posted March 25, 2021 I would say you can try and dye the bodysuit, but please note that it would probably turn it into a stain monster. 1 ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩

Jezrah Posted March 25, 2021 I would think it would be safer stain wise to make a bodysuit out of a synthetic stretch fabric rather than trying to dye an existing suit. Some synthetic fabrics have their color built in during the manufacturing process rather than being dyed, so they don't stain. You could test the fabric on a spare part like a hand to be sure before using it.

I was thinking of layering another bodysuit under it, and since theyre stretchy I'm hoping that would be fine. 6 hours ago, Tira said: Cool Cat has body stockings in other colors. Ty, I'll check them out! 6 hours ago, Jezrah said: I would think it would be safer stain wise to make a bodysuit out of a synthetic stretch fabric rather than trying to dye an existing suit. Ah true, I didn't think of that, althought its also supposed to have a pattern so maybe I will end up just blushing the body after all. Perhaps its possible to get it printed on such fabric instead? Would those stain if done on a matching colour fabric?

I am worried it may look a bit too thick, then? But up to you, really! I didn't think of this option, it might work ^_^ ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
Xiongmao Posted March 28, 2021 My Towa has the nude colour Volks bodystocking and she wears it all the time (it's a little chilly in our apartment). It is a really close fit apart from the sleeves which are a bit loose. They look great on her legs though. The material is very thin and also feels really smooth. I don't think I would attempt to dye one though. My Dollfie doll family December 2024 😊. Towa believes they are 34 in number.
