head + body color mismatch dilemma

So last year I purchased a DDH16 head from the Volks USA limited sale in semi-white, intending to make them into a boy. I really wanted a DDS boy body for them so they'd match my DD girl, and I was worried I'd have to wait until our Japan trip and spend the $ to make one at Dollpoint, or commission a proxy to get a Dream Choice doll for me. Luckily I found someone selling one here on the marketplace, and I snatched it up!...but it's normal skin.

I could have a faceup artist blush the head to match, but I really want this character to have the lighter skintone. So the options I've been considering are:

- get someone to blush the entire body to match the head - which will probably be expensive and might wear off?*

- get someone to blush the boy torso parts to match the head, replace the arm/hand parts with semiwhite parts, and just keep the legs covered - doable, but also kinda expensive and replacing the bust on my DD was a hassle I'm not sure I want to repeat.

- get a semiwhite DD bodysuit to put over the body and just get semiwhite hands - not sure if it will look right, and I feel kinda silly going to the trouble of getting a boy body just to completely cover it up...

 

The body's not coming in for a few months, so I have some time to think about it, but I'd appreciate your thoughts/advice!

 

*(On the other hand, Koala Krash just painted some entirely grey DD zombie girls and I was probably gonna commission them for the head anyway...) 

You could put the bodysuit on it and cover it until you can go to Japan and get one in SwS. After you have that one you can sell the NS one or use it to make another character. 

I agree with @BeyondTime. I personally would not airbrush the entire body since you risk chipping, and you wouldn't be able to do stain treatments. It would be easier to obtain another matching body when you can. If you want to look for one before going to Japan, you will need 9S's body.

The seller actually just offered to trade me a normal ddh16 head for my sws one, so I might just end up going with that. I was thinking about putting something like that up in the marketplace anyway, but idk how many people brought the ddh16 heads. Thanks though!
