Mixed nuts XV -- Hiatus girls (NSFW-ish -- bikini service)

So after spending some ammount of time in my garage trying to beat the family motivators into some annual inspection passing shape, a minor sprain in my arm promoted a bit of a pause, that I decided to utilize, and dragged one lady off my shelf that hadnt had a photo-op in about six or so years.

technically her twin was on the stage back in 2018 for a bigger set, and a brief bakatrina look-a-like last year, but... technicalities...

taking inspiration from some japanese artists making artwork of girls in bikini's and down jackets I thought it was a fun enough idea to try and make.

I would have preferred the typical long down coat, but the sparkling white down coat sets shorty was the only thing I had in stock, and I didnt really like the brown leather coat I had as an option, so here we are.

The bikini was something I had made awhile back, which I guess is a good thing it gets a second outing. The fishnet stockings are from a aodoll mania set, and the boots are anastasias alternative outfit items.

I probably should have rotated the backdrop at this point, but was a bit too tried to go through the effort.

So besides that little thing ... a 15+ year old head on a old clunker body, and out of practice posing, so hope you like...

Cat Magic:

So another lady that i've been sort of ignoring has been my Snowy ... five years she's sat patiently in a corner of my shelf, and now I decided I suppose she's earned a slot on the stage...

I stuck her in the volks afterschool cat-magician outfit, only to find out

... again ...

that my camera doesent really like to play ball with this kind of combination of fair skin, and black pleather and my janky lighting that seems to provide what I am after in theory and in person ... I guess since now that my short term financial numbers are in, and Rena is now out of the question I may have a reason to upgrade to a second hand A7 or something...

 

Anyways.. hope you like despite the dark bits being a bit too dark...

A Red herring ... Tuna?

So to continue with the hiatus theme, I looked at my rotation list, and found that not only had I not taken any photos of my Luka since '19, but I hadnt even given her the proper equalizer opportunities either ... a bit awkward realziation that. So I decided to change that.

So for this opportunity I grabbed the volks Wine red party dress, and recycled the stockings from the previous cat-magician set, and I originally intended to use the bootees out of a vintage tenshi no koromo miko outfit, but said bootees suffered from a catastrophic zipper malfunction and also the pleather began to crumble away as I was trying to put on a substitute zip-piece... Ultimately I just went with a pair of ruby heel's, slapped on one of my Nagato default wigs, wrapped the package on one of the stunt DD2 bodies and went for it.

I had made some tweaks to my ghetto pixar-style desktop lights, so they had more reach than ever ... but naturally my camera was still set Vibrant, and with the added light the reds are ... really red, and also the dark bits are performing as well as ever ... as in rubbish... oh well.

also Luka would benefit from eye movers, as her peepers seem to suffer the same problem as normal miku, that they have a very narrow "Follow me" effect, and the head has to be kept just right for shots to look nice ...

For the next set I did bump up the ISO setting a bit, and fiddled with the camera's image settings... as a result I did get some more fidelity out of the dark bits, but grainyness made a return and not quite as lush in terms of color ... oh well ... business as usual.

Anyways, the set consisted of my Michi (Sakura Shinguji), in a old Tenshi no koromo chinoserie thing from the early days of the hobby, that was last featured in my photos back in 15, so I believe the cooldown period has been fulfilled on this one.

for the wig I chose Melty's default while rummaging through the boxes, and the combination ended up resembling a certain oddball haikumachine from a perticular idol series... anyways... hope you like.

Shino!  It *has* been a while since she's been shared.    Glad to see she's still around and looking good!  I love the gold bikini on her, she seems to like it too.  😄  Does she still have her default wig around?  I love the long single braid on that one.

mmm, the black and gold was one of the more successfull color combinations I made in the bikini batch years ago (Along with the red/black, which was featured in the faux megumin thing)... Id like a reverse gold/black one (because 80's era Lotus Formula 1 sponsorships... ahem), but I think the gold lame I have in stock probably will be a hastle to make that happen.

Both of the twins actually have their thicc braid wigs still (was actually the first wig I bought separately, oddly enough) ... and the default blonde one was last seen on my Mary (Nero) last year, and the black optional on Marya last november... though the braids mostly stayed hidden for some peculiar reason in those. I do like the style a lot, and besides the shino one's I have three of the original Candy styles in silver, pearl titanium, and brown... of which the last one needs some tlc and has never been featured in photos, and also made a few custom one's myself in pink and red as seen in the last few photo batches.

Very sassy! I really like the multiple poses as well as the styling.

I do try with the poses, since I feel like I should at least try and get as much out of a clothing setup as possible... also this time it was to see what a old DD2 could and could not do (even with a minor/invasive modification)

managed to squeeze in another set this month ... so first post updated with some snow miku photos..

The photos are great! I think you did a good job (way better than what I could do), but if you do get a new camera, that must be exciting!

but will have to see about the camera ... But the A7 even in original form should be a bit better than my old D3200 nikon I guess ... but still need to deal with the dissapointment of no rena first... and actually scrounge the money up... *grumble-mumble*

the closeup (138) was a bit of a happenstance thing, but I liked how it came to between poses ... although it also shows best how volks apparently shipped my snowy with manicured normal skin gripping hands and not semi-white. (although the body is just a bit different shade too ... which isnt surprising since its a loaner because of the dark outfit)

Luka is really lovely, and I like what you’ve done with yours. 

Your Luka is a graceful girl. She gives off a mature and innocent feeling.

Mmm... I do like the luka photos personally too, which is rare... but because of the eye's, combined with her most interesting feature, her mouth -- she needs a bit more endurance to work with it seems. At one point I thought I had taken maybe 15 pose shots, only to find out I actually had done half, but the illusion was because of just trying to make stuff work... also having to go all crazy dutchman with the camera to make believe her head isnt always in the same narrow working angle.

Which is a bit of a shame, because her faceup before Meiko is the most neutral of the vocaloid girls ... or at least the pink eyeliner highlight isnt as much in your face as the sunny lemon on Rin, ice blue on Snowy, or turqoise delight on normal Miku.

... and also, the Akihabara girls magician outfits are a fun concept overall ... though Im still a bit sad the photos lack detail in the dark bits ... maybe now that I have a little more light to work with, to try bumping the ISO a bit to see if that makes a difference without causing grain issues.
