scripple Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) Saber volunteered to demonstrate my latest acquisition from Cool Cats. I suggested that this would be a good product for them to make, and they got back to me right away with a few questions. Then one week later they had produced the items and a couple days after that they were on their way to me. That's impressive customer service, to go from suggestion to a finished product in about a week! Here's Saber modeling the new product. Can you spot it? Click on photos for larger views. To make it a little easier here's an older photo with the older product it replaced. It's a skin colored wig cap, replacing the jarring white ones and making it much less visible. Yes you can still see it in the specific close up above, but really it's a LOT more discrete in most views than the white one. The material is the same one they use for some of their body suits. It's pretty dense but is a little less dense than their white caps. It's the same size as their white one. If you have a wig cap that's just bleeding dye maybe the white one would still provide better protection. But my experience is that wig caps usually take a while to stain, unlike say, any black stocking from Volks which all seem to stain in minutes. Here's a link the product from Cool Cat's as it's now a regularly stocked item. I've replaced the white wig caps on a few of my girls tonight, including Sakura who has a very dark wig cap. I'll watch her over the next couple of weeks to make sure the new material is doing it's job, but since I've had good luck with the body suits I'm pretty sure it will work fine. And in case you're wondering, other than making the suggestion I have nothing to do with this product. This is not a paid endorsement. No kickbacks, etc. And I make no guarantees about it's effectiveness. I just thought others might be interested to know that this product now exists. Nightmare Tea Posted January 26, 2012 Oh, I didn't know that they had skin coloured wig caps! That's great to know, since the white ones stand out greatly. I hope they work, please update when you confirm if they do or don't!
jadepixel Posted January 26, 2012 That's smart! I prefer Cool Cats' headcaps to the Volks ones, they fit better and have neater hems. I'll have to pick one up next time I order from them. jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop

baldylox Posted January 26, 2012 Wow..... you gave input to them and they changed/altered a product to fit that? That's extremely impressive for a company to do! Too bad Volks can't pull that off. That's really nice to see a skin toned wig cap instead of the white ones. You're right about it blending better than the white ones do. Excellent job sir! Now I know someone who works for Cool Cats! Can you get me a discount? Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

PrettyCranium Posted January 27, 2012 These are a much better match to the skin tone. Please keep us updated on whether or not there is a problem with the material. I think I'll be ordering these soon.
