Most common bodytype?

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking of getting 1/3 sized doll, I used to have bjd females but I've sold them. And now I kind of miss making clothes in that size... I started to think that is there some bodytype which is most common out of the DD, DDs and DDdy? I guess the basic DD but am I right?

Probably DD & MDD are the most common. Pretty sure MDD is technically 1/4.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

@BeyondTime Yup, MDDs are 1/4 scale. DDS, DD, and DDDy all fall into 1/3 scale.

From what I've been seeing, DD followed by MDD, then DDS are the most popular sizes. It's really easy to find clothing in these sizes. But the Dynamite, not so much.

In a way Dynamite is a bit of an outlier like the DDP. Not enough like the closest vinyl to wear all of their outfits and not a match for any of the SD models.

They do periodically make some tenshi-no-koromo stuff for them though.

Also would note for DD that the standard M chest would seem to give you the widest range of clothing options (for most clothes where chest is a fit issue the fit division seems to generally be SS/S/M or M/L) though I feel like the L size is pretty popular.  Either way, since you’re interested in making clothes that may be less of a concern

That tends to be how Volks divides them, but IMO M is far too large to also fit SS or S, and far to small to also fit L. If you want form fitted clothing and you plan to make it, I would go with whatever bust size you think fits the character. If you are looking to buy outfits, M has the advantage of sharing a bust fit with the very plentiful SDGr clothing options.
