Calling Baldylox, is everything okay?

Don't know why I didn't notice until today, but doll numbers are listed next to names, and Billy, yours it way off the mark, unless something drastic has happened.  I hope all is okay.

 

 

Okay now that I've had my fun, how does this work?  I'm still not on the up and up of the workings of this new forum.

The number shown is directly linked to how many dolls you've added to your personal doll database here.  I think mine's at 19 or something?  Way off from the 44 vinyl dolls I actually own.  It takes time to add them all.  Especially for Billy, he's well past 100.  That's a lot of entries to make! 

I have three, well 2 now because I just sold one. I haven't added the other 'two' yet. I keep forgetting.

My count is off by 10, and I am not quite sure when it crept up there; in point of fact Meiko will make 50.

In Billy's case the counter should simply be replaced with a banner that reads "All of Them." It's gonna happen eventually.

Yes I only have 8 of my girls listed because I just don't remember that this function is there so I never update it.  I'm up to 119 now and I need to at least update my girls thread so people can see the newer adoptions.

As for a counter, i just need something that looks like an odometer spinning into infinity.  That sounds about how it goes for my family.  😄

I don't fully know why but this thread made me feel warm and fuzzy. Nice knowing this community cares is maybe why.

Well, it's not that bad. Billy has been chronicling them in a thread since he got his first. The early parts of that thread are funny too, because he seriously thought he was going to stop at 1, then it was two, and then three, and so on, and so on.

Ah yes, isn’t that how it usually goes? I was also convinced I’d stop after getting 1, 5, 10 anime figures. In hindsight that may have been the biggest lie I’ve ever told myself. 😄

I'm still waiting to be able to add my 1 single doll...

I don't know whether or not I'll add all my girls to the profile section here but I'll definitely add all of them to my ongoing thread.  I'm on vacation starting Memorial Day weekend so I planned to have a dollie day anyhow.  Maybe I'll add all the new girls to that thread.....

Ugh don't remind me!  I seriously thought I'd only ever own Manami and that was all.  then I went to Japan and got 2 more.  Then I figured 8 was enough.  Then 10, 20 and I really really did think I was done when I got my Smartdoll Mirai for number 30.  It's pretty crazy to think back on all that and see how things have changed for me and my girls.

There's a really great group here that is always happy to help people out as well as give each other some grief here and there.  😉  I'm very happy to be a part of this forum as it's really been there for me thru all sorts of ups and downs in my life.

Guess I need to figure out where and how the personal doll database is and works. That way I don't fall as far behind as Billy...

As for Yaya, a DDS body is one thing, but she'd outright kill me if I reduced her bust to S. I've had the hardest time making her be okay with the M. She does not need the L bust like she wanted at the beginning.

As for life with Yaya, real life has really gotten in the way. Ive got a trip this summer, perhaps she'll be the lucky one to join the family on the road. But i do have some photo sets I need to find and post. Her antics may have gotten less frequent, but they are still happening.

Your Yaya is gorgeous, and I know a big part of that is Yaya but it’s also in what you do with her.

For me I think the petite look suits her.
