Azone 50's anyone?

Am I the only one who thinks she looks too like DDH06?

Still, its kinda nice to have something like that in a slightly smaller scale. I just hope the future releases are more interesting. I wonder what the chances of them ever doing a boy are?

Yeah.. I also think she looks similar to DDH-06, with very slightly less rounder eyes maybe? I'm planning to get a DDH-06 on a DDP body eventually but I'm a little worried that the head will look too large so Noix looking similar to what I want for that girl made me feel sorta conflicted. I want to try having a full DD though so I don't mind waiting for DDP to become more readily available.

 

I *wish* Azone would make larger scale boys. Parabox has their own boy Obitsu bodies, but they're a different company so the chances of Azone using their bodies are slim. Maybe if Azone or Obitsu designed their own chest and abdomen part too..

You are aware of the AZM3 line that was announced at the same time as Noix, right? It's a 51cm male body by Azone. Their first one will be "Japan" from Hetalia. They're supposed to release details in early June.

Oh no, I completely missed this! That's interesting! The pure neemo Japan decidedly looks very boyish so I wonder if the AZM3 version will be similar or if he'll look a bit older. It looks like they'll be making their own upper and lower torso so I wonder how that compares to the parabox versions. Hopefully it won't be as skinny..

I somehow missed that too! Seems like everyone's getting in on the vinyl boy train. I'm also really curious what the Azone boy body is gonna look like--the Obitsu 55 boy is pretty, um, outdated, so it'll be nice to see a more modern take.

 

I'm not into Hetalia, but I can absolutely see why they're turning to that franchise for their first large boy characters.

If they do Hetalia then I'll be so damn screwed. Although they definitely won't make my favorite. He's just too minor of a character...

(I'm actually not into Hetalia, and am WAY more familiar with Scandinavia and the World in terms of personified countries, so when you said "too minor" my brain first went "Estonia?" and then "The Faroes"? XD)

What's extra weird for me thinking of SATW Estonia first is that in SATW both Estonia and Lithuania are depicted as women: https://satwcomic.com/party-crasher But yeah, hopefully the body turns out good so you can keep an eye out for a face you could turn into Lithuania.

 

I just looked up the Hetalia version of one of my SATW faves, Iceland, and WTF with the blond hair and blue eyes they're actually not too different--Hetalia version is just missing the cool goggles and the sparkles. And the lava demon.

I completely missed that Hetalia news too. I only glanced at it and registered that it was a new line of Hetalia dolls and just thought 'so new outfits I guess, big deal' (because I was used to them making multiple Kirinos/Love Live characters in different outfits).

I assume they're just gonna make all the existing Hetalia pure neemos in 1/3 scale. I'm curious about it, but I hope they do a better job with the bodies because the pure neemos are pretty ridiculous. Yeah let's give an M size male boy hands smaller than an S size girl, that makes sense?!

 

I gotta admit i'm kinda surprised at all this recent attention Hetalia's been getting because I...honestly had no idea it was still even a thing? I basically never even hear it talked about anymore and the merchandise it gets seems like typical 'obligation merchandise' that a lot of series get in Animate. It's honestly just a weird choice for Azone to start with - I would have assumed one of the current big things from the male idol machine would be the more obvious choice but if the dolls are selling well enough then good for them. I'd just like to see another series for a change because it's been all we've seen from the Asterisk collection (male licensed character Azones) since they rebooted it.

Hetalia still has a pretty considerable fandom from what I've seen, just it's not as insane as it was a few years ago. And a lot of the long term fans are kinda weird and cringey so while I still love the series I tend to stay away from them.

This is kinda late, but Rino was announced as the second Iris Collect girl, and she's pretty cute. Really reminds me of a smiling Mio. xD

Honestly if I'd seen a pic of that Japan without knowing he was 50cm (or without noticing the wrist joints) I'd just think it was a pic of the pure neemo in a new outfit. Kinda disappointing that they arent doing the eyeholes, which i thought was the whole point in making a big version of him, but oh well. I wonder if they'll do the rest - they might actually look less awkward than their neemo versions because they wont inexplicably have M bodies and XS hands.

I'm a little surprised to see the Another Realistic Characters line suddenly get attention again, given that Iris Collect is a thing now. Maybe Another Realistic will be licensed characters, and Iris Collect original? Who knows. Also, Jeanne D'Arc's face turned out really cute despite her being painted-eye type.

Wow, the whole Iris Collect line is really cute. I didn't think they'd be popping out more so soon. Also, Azone made Ai before, so is it basically a re-release? Or remake...since she looks like she has a new sculpt.

After years -- YEARS -- of resisting these girls, my resolve has finally crumbled.

 

I just sent my first payment for layaway of Iris Collect Rino. She reminds me a lot of Sakura S, who is one of my favorite DDs, so I just couldn't resist. I have a lot of DDS with an S-bust, so I'm hoping dressing her won't be too bad (although I know she'll need different shoes). Any recommendations on clothing shops for the AZ02 body (G-bust)?

 

The next girl (My Peaceful Day) reminds me a lot of DD Neris. I'm safe from her, but I really hope they do continue with the Iris Collect series!

If Enma Ai wasn't releasing in December, I'd order one. Hopefully I can score one on Mandarake or somewhere later on.

I didn't realize "Nowa" was actually a re-release of "Noix" with a different wig and outfit. Looks like the eyes and face-up are unchanged.

"Nowa" is simply how Azone listed the pronunciation of "Noix". When written in English she's "Noix", and Azone writes her name in Japanese with the katakana "no+wa" = "Nowa".

 

Both releases are the same character, Nowa/Noix.
