Hello fellow doll havers. i want to buy my first doll after seeing Honono, i want to get her as my first doll.
My main concern is compatibility for her in the future, clothing and other stuff.
Is a AZT8? body a good first doll body? Are eyes swappable? Im getting mixed information on google. I even found DD head compatibility with some adaptors and stuff.

I own an Azone 45cm / AZT8. Although it's commonly said to be like an MDD or Parabox 45, the more I work with it, it's closer to a Volks DDP all around except in height.

You'll be buying MDD clothes for the most part. The only stuff that won't fit well are 3rd party clothes tailored tightly to the MDD (S/Small) but those are pretty uncommon.

Eyes are easily swappable, and you can swap the head entirely for DD-one with a little modification to the neck connector. No adaptors needed.

All in all, if you like a slightly more grown up MDD-sized doll, the AZT8 is a great choice for a first body.

Azone has an entire line of clothing for this size (basically anything beginning with 45 will fit, and quite a few outfits beginning with 50 will fit if you don’t mind a slightly oversized look), so you will have plenty of options.

Every article of Azone clothing comes with a compatibility chart so you have an idea of how it will fit. The symbol ◎ is perfect fit, ◯ is loose fit, △ is tight fit, × is incompatible.

You can check out my thread in the Photos section (Alice/Lovely Bear) to see some of their offerings. Alice is 48cm so some of the 45 dresses are a little short on her, but you can get a general idea of how they’ll look.

As @chef_mai wrote above, MDD/MSD clothing generally fits this size perfectly too, and 1/4 scale is probably the most popular size in the entire hobby, so there will never be a shortage of outfits for your doll!

Finally gotten around to stopping by the Azone store. The olive green sweater definitely looks great on Iori. (Just a quick snapshot with my phone for now.)

Sleeves are a bit on the long side for a DDP, but it's not really an issue.

Iori is just awesome in general, so it's not surprising. I would say that she needs a bigger chest though. Boob windows only work if you have boobs. XD

Obitsu/Azone clothes run 1-2cm longer in the sleeves due to the longer arms that Obitsus have, but I rather have sleeves that are a little too long vs. sleeves that are too short.

The sleeves being too long seems fine to me. Might even offer some creative photo opportunities. 

I ordered this a while back too. It fits alright on an Angel Philia. I'm sure this would look amazing on something larger and will post pics of that (sans Mai's head) when I get around to it.

Azone started pre-orders for its May collection. It's low-rise miniskirts, striped socks and non-AZO2 underwear.

And ordered a Black Raven doll on a whim when I should be saving. She was a good price and came with the in-store extra item. Her outfit and theme were just too hard to pass. So much for not starting new collections...

This month's drop is just underwear, but it's nice to finally have a nice looking fullset for the little ones.

After 3 attempts, I think I've finally found Ayune's eye and wig colour scheme~

(Apologies for the dusty skirt, a new outfit is on the way.)

It's not terribly original but I love the warm and kind feeling she gives off. She is originally Iris Collect Wabi-Sabi Maid Sumire, and I plan on dressing her in idol inspired clothing, along with my DDS Kaede who is in the works. ♡( ◡‿◡ )

Doll Show 66 exhibited some very interesting stuff. First isn't specific to Azone but is v2 of the Obitsu 50! The sculpting is much more fluid and natural. 

A bunch of new clothes were exhibited. The source is here.

Hey actually hold on, we need to talk about the Obitsu 50 v2 real quick.

Those are FRAME ADJUSTMENTS in the second pic!!!!

Obitsu is finally giving us wrist joints that rotate like Volks's does, the hip joint looks easier to put the legs onto (and more sturdy) than the older version, the shoulder is getting a reinforcement, and it looks like the ankles just got completely redone. This might fix every single gripe I have with the Obitsu 50' s frame!

Luluna on the left is part of Black Raven, however the girl on the right is a limited re-colour of Iris Collect Petit Suzune Wonder Fraulein ～ Goth × Loli Cats.

I hope the new parts are interchangeable with the old ones. I've actually banked a few extra spare parts now because the shoulders in particular are so prone to breaking, even with care.

I was so overwhelmed by everything at Doll Show that even though I saw this in person, I had no idea what I was looking at. If I had, I would’ve asked them myself. Maybe this will be a good excuse to buy a spare 45 body if that gets upgraded too… 😈

I don't have any 1/3 vinyl dolls yet, though if I was to get an Azone 50, I think the Puella Puella Magi Madoka dolls would be very likely buys for me! I'd love Madoka and Homura! I'd be happy with their 1/6 dolls too, though. I wonder what the chances of 1/6 rerelease with inset eyes are. 😆

The August drop for 1/3 is just some jewelry and underwear.

However, far more interesting is a special drop of some 45cm stuff to commemorate the debut of Iris Collect Petit. These will go on sale in about a week!

There are two fullset outfits, a camisole, a pair of boots and a Beshine wig.
