Dolls in Anaglyph 3D

Recommended Posts

Tierparkzone

Here's a quick attempt at creating some 3D photos of my girls. For now I was just eyeballing the offset between the two shots, but it turned out decent enough.

If you have some old 3D glasses lying around - the ones with one red and one green filter (red and cyan should work too) - you should be able to view these images in 3D as well. And if not, holding some translucent red and green foil in front of your eyes does the trick as well.

Just remember: For these images, red goes over your left eye and green/cyan over your right.

If you want to try out something similar, why not post your results here as well?

Edit: Anaglyph images now with more contrast.

What did you use to create these? Photoshop?

Neat idea, shame I don't have any of those glasses lying around. Could you do a cross-eyed version too? As far as I know you just put the left image on the right and vice versa.

For viewing without any glasses, there's cross eyed and parallel viewing (wikipedia).

I've never been able to train my eyes to get cross eyed viewing to work for me - so I'll avoid that, as I can't test the results.

However, parallel viewing does work for the images below. Only drawback is, it's not particularly comfortable for prolonged time and the smaller images lose out in detail. If you have trouble combining the images, use your browser to zoom out a bit: the smaller the image, the easier it gets.

If you don't mind, I've tried setting up your images for cross-eyed 3D and they seem to work quite well for me.

Again, as you mentioned, the smaller the image, the easier it is to get them in focus.

I have the Panasonic 3D lens for my micro 4/3 camera.  Perhaps I should try taking some doll photos with it.  I think you can display them with the PSVR, I really need to check into it again.  At one point I did find a place that you could make ViewMaster disks with, but it was like $30USD a disk, which seemed a bit much.

No problem. Great if it works for you!

Oooh! That seems to be a nifty piece of hardware. I took my images with a regular lens, just by nudging my tripod around. Dolls have the advantage that they (usually) don't move by themselves, so the individual images don't need to be taken at exactly the same time.

How does that 3D lens record the photo? Left and right frame side by side as a single image? Then you're technically already set up for the parallel viewing mentioned above. Converting those to an anaglyph image should then be pretty easy as well - could maybe even be automated...

In any case, if you take some 3D photos of your dolls, I'm curious how they will turn out.

Btw: By "correctly" wiring up your PSVR, you can pipe almost any 3D video feed into it - even Zelda Breath of the Wild.

It's the Maid Bikini from DWO Products. Great about it is not just the looks, but that it doesn't stain!

Stockings and Headband are from this maid set I got from SEN. - The frills on the stockings perfectly match the ones on the bikini.

It's been a while, so I'll have to dig out my lens and look up info again.

As for the outfit, thanks, now I've got to find someone to help me, I don't know any Japanese.

I’m guessing it’s Yaya and not Serena who wants this?

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Yay! - I took a couple more 3D images. I also played around a bit more with the layering options in Gimp so the anaglyph images now have a lot more contrast (updated the ones in the opening post as well).

First we have Chitose:

And then we have Kanata cosplaying as Nico from DOA:

For everyone who doesn't have a pair of 3D glasses, here's the parallel viewing images:
