Volks International order times?

used to be 10 working days at most but last month a friend order it took around 3 weeks before volks actually shipped them @_@

I placed an order on May 30th, and got the email it shipped today!

In my experience it depends on which customs office it hits. (US here) If it goes through LA that’s when it beats the ETA for me but it looks like this one landed in Ohio first which I don’t think I’ve gotten before. Since I’m west from there and well, it’s already Friday I’m looking forward to getting my girl on Monday. ☺️

If it’s in Ohio now it should be released and on its way by Sunday.

I expected this too but it looks to be stuck in Ohio. Checked and a totally different DHL package originally ETA'd for Friday is with the courier while my Volks package is still in Cincinnati without movement since Thursday. Like I said this is my first experience with this customs office so I don't know how typical that is, but my updated package also went through there and this isn't really about Volks anymore. Gonna hope for the best that it didn't get updated properly or something.

That’s unusual. Normally Cincinnati takes less than a day to clear customs, but will sometimes delay for a day after customs. If they status is Shipment on Hold, then it’s waiting for a flight. It’s possible that your region will take longer to get a flight than mine.

My order is out for delivery right now! I am shocked at the turn around time for this.

Well, mine turned up today in absolutely the worst condition I’ve ever received a package in. It looks and felt like it was sitting in water for a long time and practically disintegrated as I opened it BUT Volks had everything wrapped so there don’t appear to be any actual damages. I did feel some real stress wiping all the condensation off the outside of the plastics though. 😕 I’m hoping this was a DHL issue although since my other two boxes from the same office and on the same truck were totally fine...put kind of a damper on my excitement but I’m glad nothing was actually hurt. Looking extra forward to being able to use EMS resuming.

Oh no, I'm so sorry, I've never experienced that with DHL. I'm glad most Volks items are packaged in plastic and that your actual items were safe.

My parcel has arrived at the customs office on the 4th of June apparently.

I like how our postal service has a disclaimer about customs processing times:

I must not be the only one who thinks they are bloody slow. 😄

The Bpost app shows me different information than the website. 🙄
According to the app it'll take between 20 ~ 24 days for processing at customs.

Well, my parcel finally arrived. I'll do inspection later, but at least it's here. 😄
Now I just need to figure out what to do for a head for my MDD.

Had to pay an additional €100 in tax/import/administration though, as expected.

Glad it made it there in the end! Mine had a head for my MDD so between the two of us we had one full doll delivered lol.

hoping theyd stop using DHL soon :(( taxes on DHL parcels are STEEP

A bit of bump into this topic ... On july 27th volks posted a bit of info that their shipping is clogged up more than usual, and that they are working through the orders as they have come in.

So I am guessing their normal congestion time of two weeks might be three now...

personally currently on a holding pattern for a doll + outfit thats been sitting for one and a half weeks, although for once the delay actually works in my favor.

as a random thought makes you wonder if some of the limited dolls going in and out of stock are because people have become tired of waiting and cancelled their items to get something thats available then and there *looking at you Uzuki V2, going back into stock...*

Aww man I missed this - no wonder I’m still waiting on those limited wigs (and mine is a domestic order) I hope they can get through things before it’s time for me to leave 😟

That would explain the 3 week and counting for my first order. I wonder, if it takes this long and you have more than one order with them will they combine them?

Not in my experience.

Since the COVID thing started I think the norm has been 3 - 5 weeks for shipping during events. It gets shorter between events. 

A bit of an update here I guess. An order (doll + one clothing piece) placed on July 22'nd shipped today, August 16th ... so a little over three weeks at the moment.

thankfully EMS, so the importing should be the usual fare, and not something new...

Our order took a month earlier this year, but it could have been we were waiting on an item that hadn't been released. Plus we ordered a lot of stuff including bulky furniture.

Mandarake are much faster... DHL appear to have taken 7 days to deliver some outfits and otaku stuff (but they won't arrive until next week).

I placed an order on July 21st that still hasn't shipped.  I was hoping to get it before my vacation this week, but that's not happening.  

And my order shipped today.   It'll be waiting at home for me next week, then.  It would have been nice to have the outfit for Rem to wear on my trip, but I picked out another swimsuit for her.
