On her actual design, posted by @Galvatim, the black portions on the shoulders and pants are significantly more prominent to tie in the mask (I think particularly the shoulder patches are deemphasized on the SmD, they look like shoulder top patches versus reaching almost down to her armpit .) The SmD at first glance looks like she has no black on her except the mask. The pants might be like that for some construction reason, but I wonder why the patches have been changed to not be as visible/be missable.
