Sorry i meant MDD x) Do you think this works with the normal mdd shin too or is it only mochi-ashi? And does the thighs have to be angel philia for it to work with the mdd shins? Or can i have obitsu thighs?
Oculae Posted May 4, 2023 May I ask why you want to use MDD parts at all? Parabox has a 40cm obitsu option available, if it's a question of making your doll shorter. I only used MDD parts for Sinclair to make her shins the right width, and that's pretty much the only benefit it provides. It makes her leg posability much worse than a stock Obitsu's, and it also doesn't really make the leg any prettier if you hate Obitsu's kneecap bit, too, because MDD parts create a kneecap looking area as well. I really wouldn't recommend it unless you have good reason to do it. That being said, if you're really insistent on it...you can probably use a Mochi's shin with a regular Obitsu thigh. I'm not sure about a regular MDD shin though, as I believe the knee area is smaller. It might create a gap. Please ping me when replying!

Ohh, i just didn’t like the obitsu kneecaps and was thinking maybe it will look good with mdd legs, if it doesn’t look good with only mdd shins can i have both mdd shin and thighs? This is 100 percent possible. Some example photos: Spoiler Note that I modified the obitsu frame + mdd foot to fit together. They don't naturally. You'll need a hairdryer and a bit of elbow grease to get the frame in and out, but otherwise it's pretty simple. You'll also need to take the knee apart, but that's pretty simple too - just pop off the kneecap and the rest of the plastic will pretty much just fall off. Oculae Posted September 24, 2023 It's been AGES!! Let me see if I can get a quick recap in without making the world's longest post. First things first...the most recent pics i have of the full doll squad! New arrivals of note: I now have a DDH06 with the "Magical Ruby" stock makeup, and she's become my Sakura Miku! She's on the left in that last pic, here's a more recent shot of her with her proper wig and a more casual outfit: The head on the right in that group shot Sakura's in is Evangelion's Mari, but she's found new life as GUMI! I still gotta add the long parts to the front of her wig, but she's nearly done now! Her and Sakura both have outfits coming from Masami Couture. Gumi's got her Sweet and Power outfit coming, and Sakura is getting the outfit her Bloomed in Japan Nendoroid uses, to match her huge braided twintails and flowery hairclips! They're gonna look great. (As an aside, I also got into Nendoroid Dolls recently, as you can see down in the bottom right of Gumi's photo! That's a custom I made of Poppy! I also have a Sakura Miku Nendodoll now.) Another notable new arrival is Frae Silverskin, my beloved character from a D&D campaign I was in, who FINALLY gets to be shelled thanks to Smartdoll coming out with Grey skin! She's stunning. And thanks to the recent release of the ZAZ vinyl head (independent vinyl artists are the best!) I made her partner Palis as well. They're both clockwork robots, so doll bodies suit them perfectly! Their faces are done by Misclae, a talented faceup artist and member of the doll server I help moderate on Discord! She did a great job. ❤️ I got a third doll painted as well, but didn't take any pictures before I shoved her in a box, so that will have to wait for my next update. As for why she's in a box, well... I MOVED! That's my very first pic in the new place. Poppy's the only one of my dolls who didn't get packed away, and I've been slowly chipping away at unpacking for a few days now. I'm finally living with my partner of five years, and it's been a challenge trying to figure out where everything's gonna go now that I have another person decorating with me! I'll probably have to rearrange my doll display again as I unpack them, especially since I've got two more girls I've picked up that I'll need to make room for. One is my Perfectly Normal Miku who's been customized by my friend Gwen. Her face was so unique that I just couldn't pass her up! And the other...isn't even here yet. But she's a licensed girl who's been on my radar for a while, and when my recent Mandarake purchase left me with not one, but TWO fanmade alternate outfits for her... I just had to. I'll be updating my dusty old sales thread soon to make some room for and replenish some funds from her, but it was worth it. Can anyone guess who she might be? 😉 That's all for now! 9 Please ping me when replying!
Oculae Posted October 7, 2023 Okay, I've left you in suspense for long enough! 😁 The Galactic Fairy, Sheryl Nome is here! I was immediately obsessed when I opened the box, this girl is gorgeous. Well worth picking up! Since I was going for a mature look for her though (and because I wanted her DD3 body for Gumi), I also picked up a DDDy torso and thighs for her from Volks US, along with these sunglasses that are a pretty close match to the ones she uses sometimes! She's currently on a DDS body but with the dynamite's thighs and hips swapped in, and I love the proportions she has now...even if it means I had to find an alternative to the shorts her casual set usually comes with, because those SUPER do not fit her giant butt now. 😅 The skirt she's got on only barely does, it rides pretty high. I'll have to get her some underwear next. I'm saving her Mandarake Snow Bunny outfit for when it gets cold, but I put her in Obelisk pretty much as soon as I got her out of the box: God, I love this outfit. She's so cool. I was scared of the leg ribbons staining, though, so I hauled her out of it after giving myself a few minutes to geek out. (Her stage here is a bit low budget - forgive the boxes. No coffee table yet, so I'm making do with the boxes my new couch came in, lol! It's shipping soon.) Since I'm in a new neighborhood, I've been doing some exploring in my downtime and managed to find a cool little music venue that does a live jazz show every month! So of course I had to go, and I brought Sheryl with too, after agonizing over outfit choices. I love that her default's jacket is all fabric, and super versatile. I can tell I'm going to be using it in a lot of outfits! It's a miracle I got those jeans on her, but I did and I'm glad I managed it. My next best choice would have been a skirt that looked great with the set, but didn't fit jazz's vibe at all! (This is better for a more formal night if you ask me!) The one thing I'm really sad about is that when she showed up, Sheryl was missing a few things. Her mic and earring were the biggest losses, and while the mic was eventually found and will hopefully be on its way soon, I was on my own for the earring. Good thing I know how to make jewelry! It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty good for being cobbled together out of secondhand jewelry and cheap findings off Amazon! And it's super cute in the daylight! I like this better than the earring Volks sent, though I plan on swapping the green stud and seeing if I can find a darker blue gem for the middle piece eventually. And as you can see, I put her back in her casual outfit, because Mandarake was kind enough to get some shorts that actually fit a Dynamite in stock while I was drafting this post, so I waited until they showed up to share one more pic! She's so cute!! I'm so glad I picked her up. 10 Please ping me when replying!

Oculae Posted October 23, 2023 At last....at LONG LAST.....ALL the dolls are unpacked! I put this task off forever because I knew it would take all day and yeah, sure enough, it took 11 hours start to finish. I got side tracked here and there, but it was still a lot of work. Not pictured is my bookshelf right next to the cabinet, devoted to all my idol dolls...and also Hanji. I'll get a pic of that in the morning. 😁 Also, if you're like me and compulsively NEED TO SAVE EVERY DOLL BOX, I highly recommend picking up one of these bad boys wherever moving boxes are sold: I carefully disassembled and flattened each and every cardboard doll box I had, and got the whole pile in this medium tv/picture box without any trouble. I could probably shove more in if I wanted. This whole pile can easily fit under my bed now! The plastic boxes and inserts are to the side of my doll cabinet, holding padding and face protectors for the next time I move. I'm pretty proud of my space saving techniques! 9 Please ping me when replying!
