List of clothes that stain?

I saw a list on here from 2011 but is there an updated list anywhere? 

Also interested.

Just got Saber Alter in her Santa outfit, and will be getting Alter V2 soon. 

need to know how bad their outfits are until I get some lighter stuff for the both of them. 

Not a list, but there's a thread that people update from time to time, though posts in it are pretty infrequent. I think that's the list you're referring to? No one's really compiled a list of the outfits in the rest of the responses. Sadly a lot of clothing vinyl dolls is going to be trial and error

Now I'm doing the mad rush for at least a few "casual" oufits for Both Sabers, 'cause I Really don't need TWO Hungry, Naked Sabers running around my house! 

 

Given the amount of clothing there is (even by a single manufacturer) an exhaustive list is pretty much impossible.

But I wonder if we could do something like a community curated Google spreadsheet for this. - Separate sheet (tab) for every major manufacturer and then items listed by product ID. Submissions for items could either be entered directly - or to avoid vandalism by outsiders, via a google form.

I'd totally be down to give it a shot. But we'd have to come up with the specifics for the spreadsheet first, so we don't have to change the layout all the time once the sheet is live.

I did find a few posts of Saber in the full outfit in the Santa Saber Alter thread, and here Sinclair removed part of it and you can see he wisely has a full body stocking on her. There is also a photo of her in the Autumn Classical Café Mocha outfit by Volks.

 

So far, Alter Santa hasn't stained (have had her in the Santa outfit sans cape, since she arrived two weeks ago.) with high humidity, (heavy rain the last few weeks)

I'm more concerned about the almost all black outfit V2 has. 

this is my first foray into the ws/sws of DDs. Although I've done stain treatments on my other Kiddos, they're all ns, so, I'm more "cautious" about the pale ones.

IIRC the socks undies were particularly bad with staining, which sucks cause they're really cute  I think the jacket is a known stainer as well. I can't remember the specifics on the dress. I've never opened her default outfit cause I took one look at it and knew she'd turn blue if she wore it.

 

I really like the spreadsheet idea! I think separate tabs for smaller manus might be a bit cumbersome though, so maybe something like give really well-known clothing manus (like Volks and Obitsu, etc) their own tabs, and then have an "other" section for more indie brands?

Alter v2's dress and jacket are so bad that even after I washed them twice they were still accidentally-brush-against-a-dolly-leg-and-cause-insta-stain danger. I keep my Alter in black a lot because I like her that way, but even I avoid her default, so I sold it.

Good to know, thanks! Her and Santa Alter won't be wearing their defaults from this point. (Santa Alter's wig is horrid, btw, so I'm assuming Alter V2's wig won't be much better?) 

Ordered a couple wigs from Volks anyways, so it's really a non-issue....

(Their wigs are much cheaper on their Taobao, but their Aliexpress is really reasonable too and probably the cheaper option if you only need one or two wigs since the price includes shipping already)

The D'Coord Dollpoint uniform stains.  I don't think the stains happened when my doll was on display at the store, but after Volks packed her up in the box without removing the outfit.  Something to be aware of, especially if you're buying via proxy.  

This run of the Natsuki side ponytail wigs doesn't seem to stain, for what it's worth, though.
