Veravey Posted September 14, 2021 Azone is starting a new line of 1/6 dolls and they look like they are going to be absolutely darling~ I'm sure most everyone here has heard of them already but I thought I'd start a thread since I didn't see one. --- Welcome to Luminous * Street where students follow their dreams in becoming fashion designers and models! Our first doll to come out is Mii! Just look at that adorable gothic lolita a la cat combo~ ( ´ ∀ `)ノ～ ♡ She will be coming in February 2022 and as usual she has 2 versions: one through normal sales (left/grey) and one Azone Direct (right/black.) I started collecting dolls in November 2020, only a year ago, and now suddenly I have a family of 7 1/3 and 1/4 darlings. Azone 1/6 dolls quickly caught my attention due to thier collect-the-set and colourful qualities. BUT, I made a promise to myself to finish my dolly family first before venturing into bi-monthly EX Cute/Sahra's collecting. That being said, something about thier flat eyes (and I don't mean them being printed on, I mean thier design) was the only thing I didn't love about them. Not to say they aren't cute, just personal prefence. However, they've begun using new eye designs and I'm beyond in love~ I've reserved Mii (normal sale ver. due to her smile, despite liking the black dress more) and absolutely cannot wait to see what students they bring out next. I’ve seen these dolls in person (there were (are?) samples being displayed at the Azone Labelshop in Akihabara) and I thought the grey one was cuter. If you aren’t a fan of the eyes on the Ex Cute/Sahra’s a la mode dolls (I know you said it was the designs and not them being painted on, but just FYI), Azone does have some 1/6 dolls with glass eyes, like their Eiri Uemura collaborations with Obitsu or the new 30th anniversary ver. Sahra. Anyway, congrats on your relatively new doll family! Please do post pictures if you’re comfortable doing so. Satou Posted October 28, 2021 I've been loving dolls since a while already but i'm just getting into the community lately and i'm starting to plan get my owns, i'm in love with MDDs and i'm really really trying to get one, although it is still far from happen, i am a student so i don't get much money and i'm from México so it is even harder for me to get one, also i haven't any skill making mods or make up (things that are what i love about mdds) and lately i've seen many Azones in sales groups and i'm REALLY getting tempted to buy a to buy one, my favorite dolls are MDDs but i'm also in love with Azones (the only thing i'm not a fan of are the printed eyes as well) they're considerably cheaper than Volks dolls and i'm planning to get some stuff from Japan on December so i could really attempt to get one but HMMMMMM i think it may be an impulsive decision for my current "urge" to get my first dolland maybe i should invest my savings in doll-related tools and courses of sculpting, painting or something that can help me to prepare for doing make ups or even sewing (i'm also really into dresses). I don't know... Should i get one? I only started my doll hobby a year ago (November 24th, 2020) and I told myself I would get my larger dolls settled before getting into the smaller 1/6 Azone dolls like these girls. (´ ω `♡) Now that my doll family has grown and I'm comfortable with the 1/3 and 1/4 dolls I have at home, I'll begin my Pure Neemo collection starting with Mii~ You could always do it in reverse, too. I didn’t end up grabbing these girls, but the 7th anniversary Lil’ Fairies Erunoe and Lipu that I ordered last year arrived a few weeks ago, and Vel is coming at the end of this month. Veravey Posted May 19, 2022 Small update! Mii has arrived home safe!! And she's absolutely adorable in her box. She arrived early last week. I'm saving opening her because I'd like to make an unboxing video so it might be some time before she's open. This has been my favorite 1/6 Azone line, the face screenings are beautiful. It looks like her name hasn't been released yet and she will be available June this year; is that her pre-order date or release? If anyone has seen more info on her I'd love to find out more!~ The middle sign roughly reads "The long-awaited second member of Lumina's Street!
