That is awesome news for everyone in the EU!! 

I made a cost comparison but I keep getting a submit error.

 

TL;DR Official store is a bit cheaper, but animesugoi.de does not give you an existential crisis when ordering.

Attempt 2 at posting a cost comparison:

Culture Japan website:

• Doll: 52.000 yen (approx 400 euro)
• Shipping: 6.500 yen (approx 50 euro)
• Import taxes: 75 euro (approximately)
• Total: 525 euro (approximately)

animesugoi:

• Doll: 550 euro
• Shipping: 15 euro (within EU
• Import taxes: 0 (within EU)
• Total: 565 euro

Advantages of animesugoi.de:

• no purchasing quiz
• possible to pay in instalments
• seems to be possible to pre-order (will have to wait and see how this works out)
• might have different dolls in stock than official website

Conclusion: Culture Japan website remains cheaper (40 euro), to a good deal cheaper when placing large orders (90 euro). But animesugoi.de does not induce an existential crisis when trying to place an order. But most importantly, it offers a third option beside Culture Japan and Fabric and Friends to buy dolls. Personally I welcome this, and will definitely consider it as an alternative. Especially for apparel, where the shipping fees were previously a bit prohibitive for me.

ps: the shipping fees for outside of the EU are available on request. They are listed as 150 euro by default, but you need to contact them before ordering. My guess is that it will not be worth it for those outside of the EU. Unless this turns out to be the only reliable way the order blue option parts, but that is a steep price to pay for them.

figured out the issue. apologies for double post.

Difference of 40€ is not that tragic for me. Also still better than around 100 € fee on top of tax from DHL for dealing with customs.

Oof. That is a harsh extra fee. So far I've not had that happen to me, thankfully.

the 75 euro import taxes is just a guesstimate based on my own order history. Sometimes it is a bit less, sometimes it is a bit more. Oddly enough customs doesn't seem to care whether I order 100 or 500 euros with of doll stuff. The taxes+fees are always around 50-80 euros.

I finally got my Zombie Anomaly there as well as a few option parts. ❤😊 I highly appreciate that new option. I would have never gotten her from culture japan as blue dolls tend to sell out within minutes and fabric and friends has a long waiting list.

I just noticed that anime-sugoi is now also selling they eyes per pair.
So if you were looking for just a specific pair of eyes and don't need the rest of the pack that is pretty cool!
