Anna-neko Posted October 7, 2021 Get really good at delicately handwashing those outfits! I've had my girl's black dress straight up become YELLOW with dandelion pollen outdoors, and slow and meticulous handwashing is what saved it from trash Anything else is same as for people - be careful not to set anything directly on the bare ground, bring a hairbrush & maybe small lintbrush.... there aren't any groundbreaking new hacks here

plasticyears Posted October 7, 2021 (edited) I have a few tips! 1) bring a toothbrush (one you don't use for teeth obvs) for doll hair, I always keep one in my bag. I also bring water in a spray bottle to tame wigs when I'm out. Or Volks water wax. 2) If you don't have a stand, keep a length of dowel or some other stick (eg chopstick) to prop against your doll's back/butt when posing them for a photo. This helps stabilise them and it's super easy to edit out. Has saved me many times, especially when trying to take photos with legs bent or other poses where their feet aren't flat to the ground! 3) I sometimes bring plastic bags to put on the ground when I'm taking a photo as I like to move around, kneel, get on my hands and knees etc as I'm trying to get that perfect angle. Xiongmao Posted October 12, 2021 Don't take your doll out when it's windy! Also Towa got a stain when we did our second outdoors photoshoot. I don't know if it was caused by going outdoors but it was a worry all the same. Definitely ensure you have a source of anti-stain cream before you do outdoors photoshoots. The light is also better in early mornings or late afternoons, and this is a good time of year for photography. My Dollfie doll family December 2024 😊. Towa believes they are 34 in number. Before 10:00 and after 2:00 in the afternoon gives the best ambient light without using a reflector, to 'highlight" whatever you're focusing on.... Mostly. just to take some pics of your Kiddo, a good quality camera/phone camera will compensate for most of what's called "noise" these days. I can literally pull up my old iPhone X, and do some badass pics. (but, truthfully, I'm loving my new Samsung Note 20 Ultra, it even takes better pics than my older Canon 40 EOS... won't lie!) tl;dr.. Use what you have on hand, new tech just rocks!! Now, and most importantly: "Take care of YOU!!!".. have some snacks and plenty of water!, taking pics can/will take a lot out of you... bring plenty of water!! I live in the desert, and, I've suffered from heat exhaustion, and it's not an experience I'd wish on anyone... Someone else to accompany you is invaluable, as a "packhorse" or just to help keep the "Karens" away Is a blessing... "Madness takes it's toll, Please have exact change!" Veravey Posted November 15, 2021 I second the toothbrush! I always bring: 1. Toothbrush for final hair touchups, bangs, frizz, etc. 2. Wide tooth comb for the ends if things get bad. 3. A couple fine cloths. 4. Baby wipes. 5. A blanket for set up and resting them between shots.
