Magical Mirai 2021

Is this event limited to in-person only? Is there a way to get some of the items available even if not in Japan? And has everything already been announced, or is there a chance for other dolls?

Magical Mirai is an in-person event only, it’s the annual Hatsune Miku et al convention attached to the main annual concert. Volks are there every year and tend to announce new related products there (they weren’t able to attend last year cos of the limited covid attendance but they did still save their Meiko announcement for that day). The items they have for sale (dolls, outfits) are limited to the booth at the venue only and are new old stock, not rereleases.

The event starts at 12 JST tomorrow, so keep an eye on Volks DD Twitter for any announcements, they’ve already confirmed they’ll be announcing DD stuff at their booth as usual.

edit: not sure what you mean by ‘has everything already been announced’ as nothing has been announced yet given that the event hasn’t started. Unless you meant the products they are selling, in which case yes, what’s shown on the page is all they are selling there, but again, it’s only for people attending Magical Mirai. The Happi coats may make it online at a later date as that’s happened before with the Happi for previous years, but as of now it says it’s undecided if they will will offer them outside the venue.

Adding to Monty's response above, the items are limited to the booth (which they just finished setting up!) but some of the outfits are also available on the Volks Japan website. According to the Volks Dollfie Blog, it seems like it hasn't been confirmed whether or not the Magical Mirai 2021 Happi Coat will be sold online or in stores.

Sad I can't be in Japan this year or else I would be there first thing for Luka and Tako Luka...

Thanks for the answer. I just saw they had the Deep Sea Girl Miku set for sale again and really wanted a chance to get it.

By 'is everything already announced', I was referring to their event page which mentioned something about news that they couldn't share yet. I'm thinking that might have been Kaito they were talking about?

@Hiruma Thanks for the info! Disappointing it's limited to that event, but oh well.

Apparently they had barely anything of the stock as well, while refreshing twitter for talk of the Volks booth I saw people saying the Luka Senbonzakura set was sold out at 12:07… the event started at 12.

Wondering if I should even bother trying to get the 7th Dragon 2020 and 2020-II outfits when the event is held in Tokyo. I don’t even have a Dollfie, but I love the 7th Dragon games.
