Someone on Discord mentioned that he'd make a perfect Venti and they're 100% correct also.  He's just serving us Twink Vibes with that face, and all the twink characters from games are jumping out at us lol

I found a few more pictures on twitter - more angles and a few close ups on his clothing! The more I look at it, the more I like his sculpt. Makes me wish Volks would sell extra blank heads alongside their releases 😂

I was toying with Venti for him too! I feel like for actual accuracy to the in game model Bennett is a closet match but he definitely has that cheeky mischief that works for Venti. He could also work for Heizhou I think. 

Whether or not I get to consider him for Venti (a Venti that cosplays Kaito maybe lol) depends heavily on how my bathtub repairs pan out and how much insurance covers, sigh. Come on, insurance, tell me already so I can have my shower/bath back! And move on with my hobbies lol.

Edit: @RetroKanojo staaahp lol He IS cuter in those pictures! (Though the first person really needs to clean their camera lens lol) I love his nose, too few DDs have a nice strong snoot like that!

Proxy-ing can get very pricy though right? I just want a body, I don't need any exclusive stuff or head or all that trouble of paying for proxy + customs 25% on the whole package (shipping included) and I won't be able to make any of that back by selling the extras I didn't need in the first place...

I get your suggestion and it's not one I haven't considered, I just wish Volks would sell the bodies already. It's already been how many years that the DDB bodies have existed for.

Look into SophieBabyBear on Instagram, her price for a DDB (including her proxy fee) is only 82,276 yen, which currently is just over €600.  Still under €650 after you include PayPal's fee.  So it's really not as unreasonable as you might think, for a body you literally can't get otherwise.  Of course you have to add on import/customs fees for your country, but you would for any DD body, anyway.  Just thought I would offer it as a much more timely and obtainable option than trying to grab a clickwar/lottery character doll just for the body, because it's really not that far off from the price that KAITO will probably go for. Also I suggested ordering the Dream Choice exclusive options for eyes/wigs/heads because people will be more willing to buy those from you secondhand.

compared to the volks list price (67,980yen) of a DDB dream choise thats about a 100€ proxy fee

add customs fee's what I would pay exluding shipping (which are also included in customs) its 86800 yen for the volks list, and around 109500 yen for the proxy (with paypal fees), so 165 euro difference now.

Standard Volks DD female body sitting at 35000 yen, so I can personally understand some frustration.

(So yea, another person who would like a limited time offering of the dream choise thing to international GL customers. I want my tan mochi MDD damnit...)

Yeah, that's a lot better than the last proxy I looked at. I think that's a pretty good price although it's a lot more than just a body would be. I think you could make a chunk of that extra back as long as you went with the more popular head and wig options.

The softer shape of the Volks boys' faces doesn't do it for me, but his nose is nice, and more importantly they nailed the personality. If I thought I would be able to afford him, I'd give him a shot. They put the energy into nice Vocaloid releases. His costume looks great.

I never would have expected this given his popularity compared to the others, but I'm glad for it!...Less glad I have to wait another year for him but I'm glad everyone can have him.

Hopefully theres new pics soon, I'm expecting Volks News on the 12th maybe...?

I'm SO incredibly glad they opted to make him preorder!!!  I can rest easy knowing I don't have to fight for my life to get him.

I know I may be getting ahead of myself but KAITO is basically the last of the big group!! I wonder if they’ll do more characters or rereleases at this point? BUT AHHH IM SO GLAD I CAN. GRAB HIM

Oh my god you're right, it does look beige. How the hell did Volks bless us THIS much?????

In all the excitement I missed that his release was set for spring. Since I'm so used to PO project dolls releasing in october/november, which is spring here, I didn't really register it at first but just realised 'wait no thats march-may thats WAY earlier than normal'. Maybe they arent anticipating a lot of him after Meiko, but I guess they can always do waves if he does better than expected. I'm glad I wont have to wait a whole year after all!

I'm also a little surprised, and expecting them to do waves of shipments, because I feel like he's going to sell much better than they might be thinking. Partially because KAITO fans are finally getting to eat good, and because a lot of people are going to want him for custom work or even just for his body. But who knows, maybe he won't sell that well at all— though of course I hope he does so maybe CFM will start to realise people love him and will spend money on his merch if they'd just make more of it.

I've been thinking about KAITO ever since we saw him revealed, wondering if I really, really wanted him.
I can be kind of impulsive and my interests shift easily, but the more time passes, the more I fall in love with this doll 
 

I went from 'Oh well, if I lose his lottery, I guess it's some sort of divine intervention' to 'I'll hunt him down on the aftermarket if necessary, no matter the price!' so seeing that he will be a pre-order is great! All the KAITO wanters will be KAITO havers! 

The one thing that made me worry about the pre-order would have been the wait time, but if they really start shipping him out in spring that would be perfect! Basically the best of both worlds! I'm so happyyy 

He doesn't seem to come with a bodysuit though? Even though his inner turtleneck shirt (internal screaming), pants and shoes are all dark.. the beige wig cap though, thank you Volks!

*happiness noises* Okay, I admit I wasn't super happy on his first reveal(I never am) but with these new pictures...that smile!!! I am so so happy he's preorder too so I don't have to worry about not getting him. 😭 Kaito fans are indeed eating good today. His Senbonzakura outfit looks gorgeous too! Seriously I'm not over that cute smile. I need that in my life immediately lol.

He looks so good. I'm very excited and incredibly glad he is a PO doll. Since we can PO him does that mean you can order more than one? I would love to get two.

Typically the pre-orders have allowed multiple dolls to be ordered. I can't recall if there has ever been one with a quantity limit, but the rules for ordering, along with any limits, will be clearly stated on the Volks website.
