Aww darnit I've been looking at Haruka and she is really starting to charm me, I always was a sucker for girls in sailor suits.

 

I had an unpleasant thought though: is Photokano licensed for sale outside of Japan? It looks like just the sort of thing that wouldn't be, especially as it is newer. That kind face of hers is growing on me, but I don't want to get my hopes up . . .

I'm fairly sure that Dog Days hasn't been licensed either though.

 

Is it different because there's a PSP game? I mean, I thought the Touhou games were a special case because of Zun.

I doubt the licensing will be an issue. Misskale is right that Touhou was a special situation. The owner disapproved of his characters being sold outside of Japan, so unless the parent company has a similar prejudice, which I doubt, it should be fine.

I wasn't wanting to like any of the new DDs... but I guess I need to sell a doll or something because I really like the look of Haruka >_<

This looks like another huge release! I'm digging the blue Alice dress and especially the steampunk outfits. But then there's the school accessories.. and the frying pan.. it reminds me of buying iDOLM@STER DLC ^_^;(and just as costly..).

 

The fry pan instantly made me think of Rapunzel / Tangled. Shoko-tan: "Who knew a fry pan could be such a potent weapon?!"

 

Undecided on the dolls themselves so far.

I am curious as to where those pictures of Haruka came from. I can't seem to find it on the VOLKS website or DD blog.

Just wondering... do the pictures of the 2nd gen DDdy look like the breasts are, squishier?

I'm looking forward to Lucy's official pics as well. Being white skin, it is harder to make out the details of her face (esp. the mouth area) in the scans. In the head-on shot though she really reminds me of DD Sakuno Uryu.

I'm also looking forward to Lucy's official pictures ^^, unlike Haruka who I fell in love with on site, I'm really on the fence about Lucy...

Can't really tell from just those couple of pictures, but a slightly softer DDDy bust would be nice--the current stiff one actually does impede arm posing quite a bit. But if they fixed the nipples then I really want that new bust!

The bust looks good. Anxiously awaiting this release so I can split Haruka for her lovely, lovely body~ (and keeping my fingers crossed on the nipple issue so I don't have to sand them down!)

Lucy looks really cute I know nothing of her character but I would get her if my wallet would let me

Boyfriend finishes school and gets a real job in a few months. Then maybe I'll have money to save for girls of my own *hopeful* will never get over missing the preorder for the Sabers...

I like the blue and white sailor outfit, the black and white maid uniform, and the brown loafers. I hope I can get more than one pair of each.

Really? I would have sworn that Haruka was Misaki's sculpting work instead! (Saber, Fate/Nanoha.) I guess this is what happens when Kitahara tries to mimic Misaki.

I think the funnier thing, is that I was going through Mitsuki's flickr, because I was looking at wig colors, and I came across this picture.

 

And I had to look up what doll Mitsuki's Haruka is, and that is of course Yuki Morikawa who was sculpted by Misaki. But it looked an AWFUL lot like this Haruka if you're flipping through.

I dunno if she needs an eye change or if it's just Volks photography at work again. Get a load of the highlights in the eye on the viewer's left--they're blasting that sucker right on her full blast. o.o Just when I think they may be finally moving away from the overlit, near-overexposed shots, they pull something like this. Ugh, can't wait till the blog people pick up these girls, their pictures are almost invariably better.
