Volk’s beautiful Burgundy couch has finally arrived (well, it did only take 49 hours from order to door lol)

Fastest shipping ever. Box was gigantic. Then the box inside, which is like one of those clothing boxes that display the outfit with a model character and the price (the doll boxes have that too I suppose).

 

Anyway, I risked getting this while waiting for Elsa and Anna. It’ll be nice to have both of them sitting on it. It fits 3 side by side, and 4 MDDs. It’s so big it blows my mind. 
 

I only have one picture at the moment, I did take a box opening video so I’ll post a link to a YouTube upload of it later. 
 

 

It’s absolutely beautiful. It has the “Super SD Dollfie” metal plate on the back, in that middle piece that connects the two back rests. You can see it barely, it’s kinda dark, but it’s in the mirror reflection of the back. And yes, Towa is wearing my 2017 Emilia’s cloak haha. 
 

That’s just my Towa and Snow Miku resting there. They used to be standing but since I got this to use as a display for Lucia to lay across when she finally arrives, but I’ll adjust their places eventually. I’ll likely have to make room and display them in the display boxes I have in my library, or on some bookshelves. That would be cute. 
 

Not sure if anyone here has one of these. I haven’t seen anyone post pictures of them. If you do, feel free to share your own picture of how you display it. I’d appreciate it, might give me ideas. I may use it as a centerpiece for the table in my library idk. Haha. It’s so pretty I want everyone who visits to notice it right away. 
I guess being by my china hutch which already attracts attention will draw eyes to it. Haha.

That looks fantastic! It's on my wishlist but welcoming my own Snow Miku has made quite a dent in my wallet...

No sadly. I have a similar one, it’s a bit more expensive since it isn’t branded and it just barely is an inch too long on each side.

It should fit in one of the larger Pulaski cabinets. The Canapé style Louis XV（Champagne）fits in a large Pulaski, but that probably doesn’t help you. XD

also, I think the Louis XV couch is smaller…. Only problem is the huge gap in this couch. I guess I should look at the other one first before I comment. I debated on the two and I figured this would look best as a display for SDGr Lucia.

It does fit the Pulaski while seating two SD16s and an SDGr.

Oh my goodness gracious. I just looked up these display cases and I wish I could give you a hug. I had never heard of Pulaski before, but now I’m sold. Redesigning my living room! Lol. It’s right across from where you see my China hutch and the other case I have.

I was just wondering what I’m going to do with DSD Elsa and Anna along with their adult counterparts as well. I’m waiting on the mail now for Louis XV couch and chair (matching chair for this too), and a few other things like matching swimwear for MDD and DDdy, and I (FINALLY) got my hands on some wig water wax and dream rescue (my poor Ram’s hands ;-; ). 
 

Seriously though, thank you very much. You and Billy both have helped me to such a degree, I cannot fathom how to begin to repay my thanks and appreciation. 

It’s quite the hobby. I can’t believe it has taken out over $14,000 from my wallet in 3 years alone… (wth is wrong with me lmao. When I first joined I saw your sig about the dollfies and heroin and yeah… lol).

You both have saved me money in the long run and helped me so much with ideas and critique (Billy did cost me some by talking me into the peach pie busts hahahaha…. And I suppose you with the display case 😛). All the way down to taking the measurements of your couch for me. I’m not used to this type of kindness, I’ve never been treated this way before. That may be why I seem “overly” thankful. It may come off that way, but I sincerely mean it. 
 

You even helped me pick out furniture for my new house, ala Pulaski lmfao. Haha, I’m just so happy that everything is coming together, Lucia should be coming home soon (I sincerely hope), I got my second Emilia and more. I don’t think I’d be as well informed and knowledgeable about this hobby without you. No, I know I wouldn’t. Billy and you were the main reasons I continued to participate here. Either you or Billy told me about Mandarake, and that has saved my life more than Naloxone for someone overdosing on heroin lol.

I’ve had two dolls sitting in the chair version of @Ui-‘s couch for a year and I’ve had no stains so far. My climate is dry, so millage may vary, and I can’t be completely sure it’s the same material even though it looks the same.

Hey, thank you very much. I think it’s mostly OK, because there I’m not too sure the material is the same, and I did stain tests originally and it was colorfast. I’d be interested if there’s an interaction between the vinyl and the couch’s material though. Either way, I’ll be very careful. Thank you. Just gives me another excuse to pick my dolls up haha. Appreciate it. ^_^
 

Isn’t it though? And I noticed they’re using it to have Anna and Elsa sit on to display in some of their recent pictures. You can see the tops of it haha. I want to get the same couch you have, but I’m also not too fond of the modern look. But who knows, it may grow on me. 
 

I want them sooo bad. 2022 is going to be a rough wait for pre-ordered things.

Hee hee, I am an enabler at heart but it was for your own good!  You and you girl NEEDED those boobies! 😉  I'm happy that you're happy and that's all I need.  Helping others out in the hobby is how you make friends and how you grow the hobby.  Without new people coming in, things get boring and stagnant.  making sure the new guys and gals get the help they need so they actually ENJOY their new hobby is incredibly important.  So thank you for your kind compliments!

I'm glad you stuck with it and us!  Even tho Mandarake can ( and will ) take a lot of your money, it actually winds up saving you lots and gives you plenty of choices of nice things to buy.  It also lets you get things at the market value so you're not overpaying.  And that means more money for more doll stuff!  😄

As for furniture, I have the Volks school desk set and it's a really nice item for photoshoots.
