Hello Friends ~

Hello! I'm nekojanai, newface to dollfies and ball jointed dolls in general. Now that I am done with the fall semester and on winter break, I'm probably going to be much more active on here. 

The closest experience I have in BJDs are monster high dolls when I was younger, but I never dabbled into customs that much. 
I got into ball-jointed dolls/dollfie through looking at some doujin dollfie clothes done by CHERRYMILKDOLL - and through a series of unfortunate events, eventually lead me into a deep, deep rabbithole of research and planning to create a dollfie OC. Yeah. I have some pretty horrible financial descisions, but what the heck. This is really breaking new ground for me, so I am expecting a lot of expensive f-ups and learning experiences. I've lurked this site for months now, becuase as far as I know this is the only community that's relatively active and pretty welcoming. 

What I'm currently making:

I recently bought a wig and some eyes for a custom BJD project I have in the works. Still yet to buy an actual head though. 😂 

I've only shared with a select number of people, I would like to get some feedback here as well. It's going to take a while to make, which is alright. If you guys can point me in any direction towards face-up feedback and brainstorming, that would be greatly appreciated!

• Some of my favorite anime franchises are Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Idolm@ster and Kantai Collection. 
• One of my goals is to eventually make a dollfie of Nanami Asari. She's my tantou from CGSS, I love her to death, I've spent a disgusting amount of money on her and I think she would great as a ball jointed doll. I'm very happy she got a voice, along with Makino and Kotoka ~

Welcome to the forum! It's a lot of fun putting together a custom doll and there are loads of people here with great advice about all aspects of the hobby, from finding wigs to making eyes, clothing, faceups, and more! Please don't hesitate to reach out with asking questions.
