Angered-Icon Posted December 20, 2021 I'm hoping this is the right location for this Post. I not too long purchased myself an AP with the H3 bust in tan. The only issue is I really like the look of the H3 v2, which is the one that I really really wanted. I have an airbrush though! What paint is best to use for airbrushing on soft flexible vinyl? And does anyone have any important tips for doing this modification? As a side note: Is there any other difference between the H3 and H3 v2 besides the paint? They look the same physically to me. I think most folks use soft pastels for body blushing dolls, so we may not have a lot of paint experience here. Createx paints are good for airbrushing, but I don’t know how well they work on vinyl. They do make a 5092 Adhesion Promoter that works on vinyl, and which should help the paints adhere. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Hmmmmmm ok sounds like scientific experimentation has to happen. Good news is that I got a bunch of "rings of shame" from a smart doll she has so I can test on those scraps. I have some Createx paints too! Thank you for the info!

I have my first ever airbrush and a burning curiosity about this. I love my Mona the way she is, but doing a really TAN tan would be great someday, and airbrushing might be less dicey than dye (I say, as I've done nothing more but look lovingly upon this new tool I have no idea how to use). Do paints meant for leather play nice with airbrushes? I assume they'd have to be significantly thinned down if so.

I dunno what leather paints are like chemically or constancy wise, but according to a guy I watched on youtube a few years ago.... "You can spray anything though an air brush if it's thinned right. Hell I could spray my mother through this is she was thin enough." XD Just make sure you have the appropriate solvent or what ever that can clean up that kind of paint. And of course make sure said solvent won't eat the air gun.
