shipping from amimi?

Hi, sorry if i posted wrong this is my first time using this site. Id like to buy a dollfie from amiami, but im concerned about how much the shipping costs would be. This is my first time buying a dollfie so i really dont know what to expect. Theres no warning for high shipping costs on the item page like there would be for large figures like 1/4 scale bunnies, but im still worried knowing how large the dolls are. Does anyone have an estimate for how much shipping would be from amiami? I live in the United States.

IIRC, you can go through checkout without placing an order to see the estimated shipping cost, or to be extra safe, e-mail them for an estimate.

Via EMS, you'll be looking at about $70 for shipping, which is what I paid for EMS -> US for both sub-50cm dolls I bought this year via Mandarake. DHL costs a bit more.

My last three I bought from Amiami (two Saber Alters, and a DDS Marisa) was nearly an additional $100-$120, shipped by EMS.. 

I made two purchases, Saber Santa and Marisa were in one shipment. = $120

Saber Alter V2 + $100 

At their price on the site, I considered the S&H to be fair. 

It depends on if you consider the extra cost worthwhile or not.

(Just to be curious, which one are you wanting? Don't need to answer, I'm just being nosey!)

She's cute! And, her price, if I recall, is near or under retail... 

(Not like getting Saber Lily at $1025+ there.)

I ordered 1 az02 doll and some clothes and it was 11600 yen and another preorder az02 doll which was 10720 yen via EMS to US, they both came in the same enormous box that you could probably fit 4 doll boxes in.  The az02 boxes were about same size as bigger volks boxes like for my icons.  The DHL prices were twice as much like 220k yen.

I ordered two Az02 clothing items (jumper and jacket) and they wanted to charge me around $70aud for DHL. Nearly $70 for two little clothing items is insane so I can’t imagine what a large item like a 1/4 scale figure or a dollfie would cost me. Shipping prices all over the word have become ridiculous and the services have gotten worse with several being completely cut off leaving parcels waiting in limbo or being returned. 

This is why I’ve given up on international shipping for the foreseeable future limiting my purchases to the most wanted items only and is the reason I canceled all 20 odd orders I had with AmiAmi. I’m surprised I wasn’t banned. 

 

All I can say to you however would be that if things were normal you’d expect to pay around $70-$90 for EMS shipping on a large doll.

This doesn’t have much to do with the thread question, but I’ve noticed that amiami currently seems to only be shipping to Australia (and maybe other countries too?) by boat. Stuff I preordered with DHL selected will change to boat with no option to change, and my sister has said the same happened to her. I don’t really mind because shipping by boat is quite cheap, and I’ve done it a few times even pre covid, but it does take a lot longer (not too bad though, I think it was a month and a half or less) and it can be nerve-wracking not being able to track. 
It’s a moot point if you already cancelled the orders, but there is still an affordable shipping option (although now it’s the only one…), although perfectly understandable if you are worried about expensive items on such a slow method. 

AFAIK it’s only amiami, hobbysearch are still shipping DHL as normal (I’ll find out next month when some stuff from them ships). Not sure how their DHL rates compare to amiami, they were very reasonable at the start of this year for a small figure and picco neemo clothes but I think things have changed since then.

I'm sure that this is way too late, but the average air mail (including EMS) is excess capacity on passenger flights, which due to a certain naughty virus haven't been running for two years.

That leaves us with sea mail which takes three months, or DHL which costs a kidney.
