New DD from Shining Hearts

They are both beautiful.Although I'm leaning more toward Neris. And I still have Beatrice and a ddh02 head, and ddII L shapely bust coming. Oooh my poor wallet...........

 

 

Wow! You got the 02 prepainted head AND the shapely L-bust? CONGRATS! I wish my bank account could have afforded those when they became available. I so love that 02 head. And I already have one of each bust size ( except the S-bust, not interested ) and style so I'd love to add the Shapely L-bust to my family. Maybe Volks will add is as an option part soon.

 

And you have Beatrice coming too! Man, your house will have some awesome girls showing up soon! I do hope you plan to share pictures of these wonderful additions with us!

My GF actually has the same combination, Volks News 40 DDH-02 on a Shapely L body. We were lucky enough to walk into Volks USA when they had two of each left, we bought one pair and our friends bought the other as their first daughter! I'm actually doing some pictures of her later, so there'll be pics on figure.fm tonight or tomorrow.

The head I have is a blank one. Not prepainted. I wanted to try my own face up hehehehehe. The shapely L bust body, I got from dollfieworld. I saw it on the front page, and I just pressed the add to cart, and proceeded with the payment with no second thought lol. I'll deal with the headache when the CC bill comes lol

 

I still have to get to 20 posts bfore I can post pictures hehehehehe. But I've uploaded some pictures of Aoi in my flickr, and at figure fm.

If I hadn't won Beato I definitely would have put in for Neris. BUT since I did win Beato these two are a pass for me unless I suddenly come into a lot of money I'm worried if I put in for Neris, the next announcement would have something I REALLY REALLY want (*cough* Rider) and I'd do everything possible to enter for her too and stretch myself too thin financially.

The teasers of Nellis and Aerie from the scans had me excited, but the promo pictures don't so much. I feel that the eye size is a bit too large (not enough white showing)

 

If I can get myself Aerie's head on YJA I'd change out her eyes and turn her into a cute catgirl, possibly even Xiao Mei!

They definitely look better here, but the eyes totally throw me. They're just too big. And it's odd, Nellis' eyes aren't even supposed to be blue! But I think the face sculpts are gorgeous, and I love their stock outfits. Nellis reminds me a lot of Yuki's faceup.

Yes, I Photoshopped them. I want to get a better feel for the face sculpt without the distracting eyes. Although I shouldn't because I might end up convincing myself I need both!

I have to admit.... I was ambivalent at first because of the eyes but I've always wanted Yuki and this is a chance to redeem myself and my late appearance on the DD scene. I should save for the DDS release here because at some point that is going to happen too. Arrrrrrrg.

I'm pretty sure everyone who picks up Nellis will be interested in a bow & arrow for her, I know I would! I can just imagine her harassing my other girls by shooting them in the butt... I'd love to see you make them! I'm not very crafty, so it always amazes me when people just make things. It's like some strange sort of magic to me. ^^;;;

I'm thinking they'll actually be a bit less than $600, since Beato was about 3-6k yen more than Neris and Airy, and she went for $605. (Plus the exchange rate is actually slightly better than it was for Beato.) Maybe more like $550 or $575.

 

We (well, my GF, since I'm broke from Beato) are going to try for Nellis, since she's got a really nice face sculpt. It's funny that they come with the shimapan, by the way, is Volks trying to use up excess stock?

I will use your faith + my mediocre talent and we'll see what the results are! Fingers crossed. It shouldn't be too tough- it's just getting the right mats and having them be a bit resilient so we can actually play with them.

 

Additionally, it dawned on me that Volks will probably release an archery set for her when they come up with additional outfits. I could see them making something for her that was a limited edition lottery entry archery set that looks AMAZING just to make everyone go totally insane. ^^;;;
