I feel like the silicone caps will not be compatible but since I don't own one yet I cannot be certain.

 

The squishy headcap seems ideal for those of us that like to change out our eyes on a whim. (like me!)

It's like they purposely ruined the eyes just so that they could put out the new head style so everyone can change the eyes easily =P

I doubt it'll be too bad; I'm expecting a run higher than Beatrice and Noumi, but slightly smaller than Saber Lily due to the popularity of Shining Hearts in Japan. I doubt that the US Lottery'll be too hard, but just to be safe I'll be entering twice for Nellis since I can't go in for Airy too and Nellis is in much higher demand.

I haven't decided if I'm going after Nellis or not... Overall, I really like her, her outfit is great. But I've got two other DDs on the way, and am fast running out of space... The last time I skipped a lottery and regretted it, I really lucked out and got Mari from Volks International. Don't think I'll get that chance this time...

It's REALLY picked up since Mari came out; I was able to get a Mari from DollfieWorld for retail a good 6+ months after her release straight from her webstore, but I haven't seen a single one of the releases back to the first Alna even hit her site. There are a lot more collectors now in general, so it'll be harder than say a year ago, but if you really want any of the Dollfies released, there's always a way to find one.

Well, I'll be lucky if I can enter even once. I have no friends/family that would help out with more entries. So my chances are pretty low.

I think you can enter more than once if you go through Kerby Lane and We Love Dolls. Folks on DoA know a lot more about it than I do though.

One thing you don't want to forget about with this though is that you actually need the money in case you win all of these, which can get quite costly =P It's great to have more options, but don't forget to have your funds in order too!

Actually if you win from Kerbey Lane or We Love Dolls your order with VolksUSA will be cancelled (you can't win two). The email I got from Kerbey Lane hints that you can also pick just one between KL and WLD, but I'd clarify that one with the two stores before entering with both.

They always treat me well and I prefer to give them money since they don't mark up from Volks pricing. I know the money goes to Volks anyways but I am all for the small dealers staying afloat.

Good to know, but wouldn't you essentially need to have the money in the bank for 2 anyway (to hold)? And if going through these other services give you more chances then how come you have to cancel one if you win both? If they are entering your information isn't it the same as entering yourself? Otherwise how would Volks know? Or is it a rule of these services? I'm a little confused on that. But it doesn't matter, if they try to hold the money in my bank, I can't afford two holds like that.

Well, I have yet to enter for something thru both services. Good friends of mine have tho and have told me about it.

 

When I won that Saber Maid outfit, I went thru Kerbey Lane. When I won, they asked for 30% down and then the rest was to be paid when it got to their store. So it wasnt a large amount to have set aside even if I had gotten a Dollfie. I am not positive if Volks does this as well.

 

I think the reason they make you cancel one is so they dont get scalpers using multiple entries in order to flip stuff. Yes that can be bypassed by having multpile people enter for you under thier names but it does help overall. I just thought having two chances would help me get something I wanted. If I had not won thru KL then I still had a shot thru Volks and vice versa.

I may be able to be someone's second entry if they wish to improve their chances. Though I would like to request half of the total up front before entering in case they change their mind and I end up winning one - I'd refund immediately as soon as I found out my entry lost. In the event that two are won then I would refund possibly by arranging a small layaway or something like that on the half I owed.

How soon do you have to contact KL to enter for the lottery? Do you wait until it starts or contact them early? We're planning on going in for Nellis and Aerie, so it would be nice to have a backup second entry! We lost on Noumi when we only entered once, and I'd hate to have to go through that disappointment again.

Thanks for the explanation, I was seeking out a Dolpa FAQ but I couldn't find many specifics on gaming the lottery ^_^;

 

I was planning on teaming up with Mr Jadepixel and putting 2 entries for Neris in through Volks. In that case if I was lucky enough to win both entries, I'd end up with 2 Neris, and unable to cancel, right? Maybe I'll use KL as my backup instead!

Oh, I'm liking Airy now! Her default outfit isn't my thing, but how often do I have my girls in their default clothes anyway?

 

Is the checkered dress she's wearing in the last two pics part of the same outfit from the first few, but without the top?

That outfit is so adorable on her! I didn't want it when pictures first went up, but looking at it now I might go for it when it hits Volks US. Aerie looks lovely in a longer wig too, like a grown-up version of Marisa!
