New DD from Shining Hearts

I changed her eyes to the G-type animetic eyes, and boy, what a change does it make! She looks 1000000x better now! I will have to do some shopping today and try out different types and see which will works best for her.

 

And I think I was wrong in my earlier assessment. I don't think that her wig is too small. It's her head that's too big! All of my 8/9 wigs, Volks SDs, DD wigs are a bit tight on her, but Luts 9/10 wigs slid right on top of her head!

Oh really? That's good to know. I wonder if Airy is the same? I'll have to look into this before buying wigs for them. All mine are 8/9.

Her eyes looks lifeless. I think that's the main reason I don't like them much. And notice how the hair doesn't have the same....volume? as the stock photos.

Wow! She is fantastic, Borat! She is so beautiful. Congratulations! She is really cute with those alternative eyes.

She's stunning with the new eyes in. No longer am I afraid she will eat my soul, now she looks gentle and kind~

Hehe, I guess I'm one of the odd ones that kinda like their default eyes. I like that they are unique. I'll have to see them in person before I decide to use them. If I got more DDs I'm sure I'd want them to match so that may change my mind too.

I like the design of the eyes. I think it's very unique. It's just that the shade of Nellis' eyes bothers me - I think the color is too pale for her smiling face. Smiling faces should have "brighter" eyes, right? One more thing - there's also a tiny lightly shaded oval in the center of Nellis' eyes, or pupils. I think this dot should be darker.

Oh, and instead of an oval, the pupil should be a circle instead.

 

I LOVE circular eyes! -> I'm bias - -

 

Airy looks fine. If I have to pick one of the two under the condition of NOT being able to change the eyes, I would go for Airy instead. *Imagine Airy with medium eyelashes... (I think she would look incredibly sweet - OH NO... nose bleed) ^.^

Thanks for the pictures, Neris actually likes a bit like Sakura without the wig, but Airy still looks a bit strange to me

I get more excited about Aerie everytime I see more pics of her. She's so cute!

I saw that blog post from Danny too. The store looks so fun. They have all these cute drawings everywhere explaining the products.

 

I agree with Galvatim. Aerie looks so cute in all the photos we have been seeing on the blog and from Aerie parents.

It's not only Volks that doesn't allow pictures.... almost every store I went into in Akihabara and Denden Town wouldn't allow it. It has something to do with pricing and displays and such between rival stores. Since so many stores are crammed so close together there, they have to constantly change setups and pricing to keep more customers coming their way instead of to their competition. So if people are tkaing pics all over the pace, who's to say Store B isn't stealing ideas for them selves from Store A?

 

This is what my buddy told me while I was there. I'm not 100% sure this is all true but it makes sense to me. I just find it odd that they wont allow obvious tourists such as myself to take a shot or two. I snuck pics here and there but never could in a Volks store as there were always people around. I wasnt about to get caught and tossed out of my Mecca!

Most US stores don't allow photography on premise either, pretty much for the same reason. Of course, it's not like anyone wants to take pics of a Wal-Mart anyway. It's not as heavily enforced as in Japan, but at the grocery store I work at, we have had to ask people to stop taking pictures or filming a few times. Mostly reporter types. (we did let people take pics of the 20ft long football stadium made of Pepsi though)

Ah, that makes sense. I guess Volks is allowed to break their own rules. hehe I would love to see Volks and Volks USA embrace technology and social media and start a YouTube channel. They could have tours, show the new displays, tutorials, fashion shows!!!! I would love that.

 

Yea, I'm very excited but thankfully I should be getting Neris in a few weeks. She's going to have to keep me satisfied till I get Airy in August. (I hope that didn't sound perverted....)

Trust me, I stood out like a sore thumb over there. I was a head taller than almost 90% of the people out on the street.

Hope it for all fans and for me since I'm not a fan of the SH designed DDs after all. x3 I'm really praying that I'm safe for a long time and can't wait to see which characters they choose next.

The green outfit with blonde braids being modeled by Rina is Amyl's, who is the third sister of Neris and Aerie. The other outfit, modeled by Yuki, is Kaguya's, who sounds pretty important to the game's plot. I see the dates of 5/21 and 8/10 in there. I thought the Kobe Dolpa was in July? So perhaps these two will be preorders? They could be customs though.
