What are your doll goals for 2022?

I've already gotten quite a few dolls this year, but I'd like to get two more dream choice ladies before tan season ends. Aside from that, I want to focus on building up their wardrobe and wig/eye stockpiles more. I also need to buy several sets of F3 arms to replace my cracking DDIII elbows. And maybe a semi-white DD-F3 for my Saber Alter, so that she can have a newer frame as well (though it'll take some frankendoll-ing to work, taking the shells off her DDIII body and putting them over the f3 frame instead... Her WS joints didn't match to begin with, so they won't be a problem).

Aside from that, I'd also like to build some beds for the girls. They're just a tad too big for the 18" doll stuff, so I'll make my own. Some pillows and stuff too... I'm a sucker for daybeds full of pillows.

My first in person meet and doll show went amazingly! I have decided to keep my Yukino, and put her on an Angel Philia body. I sold my Saber Extra. I picked up two dream choice girls in Tokyo. Still am waiting on Ryomou to come in from Germany but I picked her up some eyes and a wig.

Overall this trip was extremely amazing and successful, and I only have a few goals left for the year. Mainly clothes, shoes, wigs and face-ups. (And if I find a Sasara head or Beatrice fullest I'll nab that). 🥰

I'm going to get an Adykadoll body for the only one and (IMO) most gorgeous SmD. She deserves it. If everything goes as expected, I will have it very soon.

I just got my second Dollfie. My current plan is to wait on the results of the imminent SD lottery. If we win we'll wait for her him. If not we'll order a load of stuff from Volks (and maybe a 3rd girl too).

would like to get a couple more OBITSU 26es (WHITE and NATURAL skintone, M-bustline)

but my docket has been pretty full thanks to AmiAmi alone so far this year.

Well, 2022 ain't quite over yet; we will see...

It's been 6 months into 2022, but... my goals are...

To expand Haruka's wardrobe

To take Haruka more places

To get a Pullip My Melody Pink version doll (Hopefully!)

 

My goal for 2022 is to save up for at least one BJD and a few outfits.... 😭

I want to buy at least one more full doll so I can shell my character Audrey, try my hand at doing face ups, especially for the headless dolls I have roaming around, and for other characters that don’t need a separate body just yet, try making glass doll eyes and continue making clothes for the dolls I already have. 

6 months in and I want to finish fixing a Reimu DDS I bought weeks ago and sewing a maid set.

This may be a stupid question but with the next Volks SD lottery they say the dolls are one off models. Does that mean there's only one of each? In which case I guess the chance of being successful is pretty low. I'm not a GL member but I might join.

Yes, there is only 1 of each.

The sculpts aren't unique, but the face-up is one of a kind and the doll is sold as a character with a specific wig, eyes and outfit.

Thanks for the above. Yes I might try my luck, but the timing is a little awkward with the previous lottery ending the previous day. Also it could be potentially hassle getting bank card charged a few times (not sure if they card charge for this lottery like the other one).

There's two I have my eye on. Chances are low I guess but Towa and Uzuki would be totally stoked if a one of a kind SD arrived.

It's about time they ran a Dollfie Dream lottery. I'd like a Saber if they do another one, but I don't really want to pay for all that armor. Of course another chance at Rin or the Re:Zero girls would be amazing too.

I only recently got into DDs so my main doll goal for this year is to get a full doll! I was able to win a ddh-22 on YAJ, so now I'm working on saving up for a mdd body and finding the clothes, wigs,eyes etc that I want!

As for me, I'm currently reading the Chobits manga and the books have some beautiful colour plates of Chi. I'm starting to make enquiries about finding the materials required for one of my girls to cosplay as Chi (and maybe the other girl as Freya).

I was intending to take this year easy on the doll front. . . . but through a bizarre series of circumstances, I not only got into Tinyfox 1/6 dolls but decided I NEEDED one of them to be Paimon from Genshin Impact. So now that the first TinyFox is in, my goal for this year is to at least get the costume parts together to have Paimon recognizable--I'll worry about true accuracy later to be honest. Genshin outfits are ALL complicated, and Paimon is no exception, so this is turning into a pretty ambitious project. 

I'm then hoping next year to get to a convention where Corina Boettger attends so I can have pictuers of Paimon with her English voice actress lol.  

As for other doll goals, it's kind of about going back in and giving everyone else some TLC--stain treatment, tune ups, maybe some new clothes and eyes. Oh, and Asphodel STILL needs her tail. . . that might end up a "let's take on a simpler project to get a break from Paimon stuff" type of thing lol

Kagamine Rin briefly appeared on Mandarake yesterday, but this morning she was gone 😭. I wonder if she went to anyone on this forum?

Ugh, I was too slow although I was thinking of all the other girls I could get for the same price as Rin alone 🤩 [160,000 JPY].

I also think she's ripe for a re-release. I'd much prefer a DDf3 version of her as Uzuki's frame is just great.

I have my eyes on Kizuna AI. She's easier to find and also a blue eyed girl would fit in with our current plans.

I actually saw that Rin in Mandarake too! I have been saving up for Kizuna AI as she's also one of my grails and decided to get her because of the good conversion rate right now 🥰

I plan on getting myself back into the MDD, DDP or DDS size.  Due to being hospitalized with covid-19 l to put my ideas on hold. Just trying to make my up witch body to start with. 

 

To connect with a doll friend! You just know if it will be your friend once you get them with you. Just like figures and such. One doll dream was crushed but another took its place. Yay for neverending doll friends!

Wonder if these can be adapted to the neck from the old volks chara dollfie dolls from about 10-15yrs ago. I still have a like new trista sestina (kazumi yashiro) doll that I want to update to a newer poseable body.

That sucks, hopefully you are better now. I don't know much about dolls BUT can say the DDP and DDS stood out to me after people pointed to them. As well as the obitsu/parabox stuff.

• Get a semi white dream choice in December
• Hunt for Beatrice after October
• Get a full custom outfit for Khepra
• Commission Glitch custom
• Get AP Elle
• NO MORE DOLLS UNTIL OCTOBER
• Make photo stories
• Travel to Tokyo again to meet up with friends

My second doll (Mochi) is now complete in the sense that I'm happy with her sculpt, faceup, wig and choice of body after a lot of trial and error on my part. If there's something I've learned from the process, it's a lot better and cheaper in the long run to pay up and get exactly what you want.

I'm still holding firm at 2, but I'm about to finish an alternate body for Mai using spare parts, so she can slip into overalls and a few other MDD-sized outfits that she'd look great in but can't fit into right now.
