Custom wig makers? (will they fit different sculpts)

Anyone have recommendations for wig makers who take customs for Smart Doll? I have a project in mind that's fairly ambitious (think a certain blue haired video game character with looong blue braids and a fringe) and I'm hoping to get a custom character wig to fit my SMD Felicity- however, I don't know much about the variation in fit when it comes to different sculpts. Do wig makers tend to fit to one "main" sculpt and if I buy a wig made for, say, whatever the new semi real head is, would I know it would fit my Felicity? I know her head is a bit smaller than the original Mirai sculpt, but I have no idea about the newer sculpts as I haven't bought a SMD since before Cinnamon was a thing.

Currently I'm eyeing ZaZouCustomDolls on Etsy as they have the right color and I like their style, but DallasDollCo seems to also have a big Etsy presence (though I vaguely remember them being involved in some drama in the AG community, so I'm kind of reluctant). ZaZou only ships to the US currently but that's fine since that's where I am 😄

Does anyone have any takes on their relative quality? And if you've commissioned a custom (I'm not sure if Dallas even does customs tbh) how did it go? Feel free to show off what you got! I'd love to get a sense of how the wigs look on various SMDs.

 

 

I dunno about the fit on SMDs, but PenginWorkshop on Etsy makes very nice high quality wigs in various sizes and styles. I ordered two 8-9 inch wigs and they’re quite a tight fit on my DDS Anastasia, but they look gorgeous.
