Miss_Doll_Shop Posted February 9, 2022 Hi again! My dolls hair is getting a bit dry and frizzy. Any tips how to style her hair and take care of it? Thanks :)
Leparda Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) Maybe you can wash it with fabric softener. This works for synthetic doll hair. You have to soak it in a water-fabric softerner mixture for a couple of minutes (maybe 10 is what I do on some of my wigs) and rinse it off with clear water afterwards until everything is out. Then you can carefully blowdry it with minimum heat or let it dry. After this you can brush and style it as you like. I cant really tell you about the mixing ratio, you have to figure it out because I measure it with the cup of our softerner and they are all different. If you put too much in the water, the hair can appear greasy if you are not washing it out properly. But it is not irreparable. Just rinse it off again. Another plus of this method, your wig smells veeeeery good afterwards. Edit: I do not know if this works for non-synthetic doll hair, but I do'nt know what could go possibly wrong. meef Posted February 13, 2023 I use Volks wig oil. It really does wonders with smoothing frizzy wigs and it’s brought some back from the dead for me: https://volksusastore.com/webstores/dollfie/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=5461
