My friend was D145 and told me that Utena & Anthy were available until F Group. I am super thankful to her for helping me get Anthy at Dolpa since she wasn't going for any of the dolls. Apparently the SD boys sold out right away 😮 So I'm also hoping that means there is a lot of stock of Utena & Anthy for the After Event for everyone trying to get them 💖

The thing is I really don’t think the extra fee of GL membership would deter scalpers one bit anyway, given that they’re perfectly happy to pay for multiple Dolpa tickets plus transportation to/from the event just for the purpose of reselling which is considerably more money and effort than multiple GL memberships.

Meanwhile, the cost of GL is a trivial amount all things considered if it has the guarantee of a doll attached (especially because paying for the doll reimburses the cost of GL and then some via points), but the idea of paying for the participation in a clickwar I may not even win is kinda aggravating lol.

If we look at the prices SD are now scalping at, I'd bet they are just adding the cost of the extra fees into their sales price. 

It says in the page 10:00~ so I assume the event (nightmare) is supposed to start at that time in Japan?

Hopefully as people are saying there are a lot of them...

But okay so, am I understanding correctly that: 

• It's 1 of each doll per person NOT per household

So in THEORY I could have 2 accounts set up with the same address, but different names... could my credit cards have the same name on them? 

I am of course only trying to get one Anthy and one Utena.

I believe Volks rules forbid you having multiple accounts. Two people in your home can each have one account.

I’ve never heard of a rule saying you can’t, but they do have rules around people transferring purchases to other people. I.e. you can’t sell a preorder to someone before the doll is delivered to you. You have to pay, and you have to pick it up. 
 

I’d be careful about giving the perception that you have more than one account. 

From the event sale, I'm just hoping that we're all here thinking Anthy and Utena are extremely popular and will sell out
when in reality they might not lol (This is probably inaccurate, but I can only dream and hope!)
For Anthy it'll come down to people wanting her body (cries) 
So maybe Utena won't be that bad ; u ;
Another factor could be that they're releasing along with other popular items i.e. Frozen+ boys (forgot the name of those specific DDs)
So people may have to pick and choose atm, since it's not a 50usd nendo here, but a 70k-80k yen+ purchase per doll. 
As such we RGU fans might've gotten lucky with release time since we'll be prioritizing Anthy and Utena.
Then again I've seen doll collectors pay several thousands of dollars on a single doll for auctions so who knows.

That might actually be accurate, after all. There is still time until they go out for sale, of course, but still... I checked their wishlists, you see (yes, certain someone had a day off from work and clearly too much time to spare lol). I am sure those wishlists do not tell how popular each doll really is, but comparing might give some kind of hints... 63 persons have added SD Rigel into their wishlist, for example. 54 persons has done the same to SD Michele. 37 persons have added Elsa and 26 persons have added Anna into their wishlist. 12 persons have added SD17 Regulus and 5 persons have added SD17 Maximilian into their wishlist.  All of these are super dollfies and all of them cost more than Utena and Anthy.

13 persons have added Utena into their wishlist. And only 11 have added Anthy into theirs. At least at the moment it doesn't look like they are overly popular. It also doesn't look like Anthy is any more sought after than Utena (because of her skin color).

So... It might be rather easy to catch Utena or/and Anthy. Hopefully. Good luck to everyone!

I didn't think of checking for all of that! Thank you for doing so!
Honestly don't know why I didn't factor that in, when even someone in this group said they had to pay for Elsa
and Anthy might not be an option at first.. but yeah, hopefully everyone just has too many other DD items they want more.
Even with a bit of time 70k-100k yes is a lot to save up in a single month depending on the person x'D

Think those pages have only been up a few days. Might want to check weekly to see how it changes. 

Elsa and Anna being pre-order makes it less necessary for people to add them to their wishlist. I’d think they’d be pretty popular.

HMMM I'm curious about the details of the multi account rule... because I do have two (though I have no idea if I can still have the logins for them) but it was never for anything like this, it was just because I wanted to ship something small to my JP proxy and I couldn't add my JP address to the account that had a USA address? This was years ago though. I should probably deactivate one of them if I can LOL.

Thank you for finding this for me!! I looked a bit for it after I posted yesterday but didn't get very far. This is follows what I remember the rules being though, so thank god lol

I hope their site loads properly for me, even trying to order things during off-hours in Japan I get the "too many connections to the site" error lol.

My husband said he'd help me to try to get one of the dolls, so I'm going to make him an account and cross our fingers. These dolls have me so frickin' nervous everyday!!

Here's hoping I haven't used up all my doll luck!* Especially as I don't have the second chance of buying from Volks USA... at least not without the in-laws finding out about my doll hobby hahaha. 😅 I'm so in love with Utena. I mean, if I could, I'd get Anthy too, but I can't, so there's no point worrying. 😭

Is it bad to hope the yen stays weak for a little while longer (apologies, Japanese economy! I shouldn't be hoping this just to save fifty quid on a doll.)

I am also in this very apologetic boat, especially because I'll be trying for both.  If it stays where it is, I'll be paying like $150 less per doll than I originally expected, which would be so beautiful...

I wish everyone who want Anthy and Utena luck! I'm out for the items, the selection has most of what I want. 😭

Ok I’m a little stressed out. I just bought something from the Volks international store on the 21st and it’s still saying processing does it usually take this long? I just wanted to try to get something before I try to get the girls. I really want them and I don’t want any hiccups are screwup‘s.😰

Dolpa 47 was just last week, they are probably still catching up on things! give it a little bit more
