Deinbeck Posted February 8, 2012 No access to gallery yet. It's a horrible picture, I even cut off her feet. I just wanted to show her off quickly, I'm happy with her new outfit for the most part

Deinbeck Posted February 8, 2012 Thanks, I'm having alot of fun with her I'd like to get my hands on a DSLR soon, I'm envious of the beautiful shots you guys get with those cameras!
Mahoro Posted February 8, 2012 yay another Noumi owner! xD What wig is that? It doesn't look like the default one. As for DSLRs, even a used D40 will still take great photos, and they're under 400$ these days I think. Besides, a lot of nice photos are all about the lighting and composition more often than the camera (as much as those companies would normally have us believe otherwise). The wig is Leekeworld LR-030_E in Evecream. I figured as much with the camera. TBH I think the toughest thing taking photos is the lighting and composition, it really looks like a skill that takes practice. I'm always amazed when I see a really great shot, I'm excited to try and learn how to do it. The toughest part though, strangely enough, is just finding a place to take a shot. I dread the thought of having to explain what I'm doing out in the yard with a doll and a camera to the neighbors!

baldylox Posted February 9, 2012 As for DSLRs, even a used D40 will still take great photos, and they're under 400$ these days I think. Yep. I use a D60 Nikon and it does an excellent job for me. But as stated, lighting makes a huge difference as does knowing how to use the camera. Just take a ton of pics and then delete the ones you don't like. Digital film costs nothing. The toughest part though, strangely enough, is just finding a place to take a shot. I dread the thought of having to explain what I'm doing out in the yard with a doll and a camera to the neighbors! If they ask, just say "Photography practice" and ignore them! They can't do anything to you~ I totally agree on both counts. I take my girls out in my front and backyards all the time and the neighbors see me. One guy totally ignores me and the other ones actually had more to ask about my camera setup than the DD I was taking pics of. So don't be scared to take shots outside in your yard. You're in YOUR yard. You'll be fine. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
