I want to see your DDP's! (For Research)

Don't know if this is the right place BUT I recently got a DDP body but I'm having a hard time figuring out what heads look the best on it, as I can't find many pictures.

If anyone has a DDP with a base head, or limited, I'd  love to see or hear your thoughts.

I was leaning towards ddh22 or ddh06 but I think they might be too big and look odd. I know ddh22 is a chonkie cutie. 

I have a DDP with DDH03, (and a blank DDH10)

(Pardon the mess - It's part of a project)

I think they both fit very well!

My Limited MDD Rena Ryuguu is on a DDP currently!

In the last picture, she is next to a DDS. She has a bit more height than she normally would because of the shoes. She also has MDD hands because I was not a fan of the "DDP" hands she had in the second picture I included.

In my opinion, the DDP is such a cute body, and I really hope they make optional busts and hands for them in the future, because it really is a nice in-between size for MDD and DDS.

Ooo! Rena on a DDP is perfect! It kind of irked me that she was released on an MDD body as I didn't think that really represented her character well! 

Also I was wondering about MDD hands on it! They're so cute!! Your Rena is too adorable for words, I can't even!

 True! I would like to get a DDH22 or 27 at some point so if it didn't work out on a DDP, I could always just downsize.

Thank you for all your help! The match I was planning on has actually worked really well ~ but I'd still like to keep seeing DDP's as we need to share the love!!

I was really irked by the MDD choice too. I totally get that they were trying to emulate the original artwork for her, but I think she would of sold better if she was originally sold on a DDP, with a new medium bust, and clothes tailored to the DDP.

I have three DDP: IdolMaster Yayoi Takatsuki, one with a 06 head (Nami), and one on the way with the 07 head (going to be my ‘way less expensive’ version of Kagamine Len as those scalper prices, ugh). I’ve had a DD, and still have a MDD, but prefer the DDP body as it seems a bit more mature, like a teenager. I also like the under 60cm size, but taller than the average msd. True, it’s harder to find more mature looking outfits, but since I’m dressing my girls in Volks traditional Japanese outfits, it’s been easy-ish. I’m still having trouble finding geta for a couple as they sell out fast on any marketplace. I’m learning that if you see it, buy it, as it will be gone (and then the secondhand prices hurt). I can’t figure out how to post pictures here, sorry.

Here are some of the different heads, that mostly were meant for MDD sized bodies:

Iori (because default DDP):

Now Iori's head to me is a smidge bigger than what heads you would normally see on a MDD for instance in my opinnion, but this would be a personal perception thing.

DDH-01 (Also applies to the ready smooth DDH head based on the 01):

The 01 head originates to a time before the MDD, but for me personally it feels most at home on a MDD or DDP

DDH-10:

The 10 was as far as I remember a MDD sized speciality, and thus quite at home on the DDP

Louise:

Louise is again a original MDD model, and the head is smaller than 03/04/06's I have. quite at home here.

And finally Rena on a DDP:

As far as using the bigger heads on a DDP, its going to be a perception thing that varies between person to person. for instance I've tried a 02 and 03 on a MDD, and found the heads a bit too big for it, and after realizing it, its just there ... but all in all it still shouldnt be wacky wobbler bad.

Is Iori a DDH09?

I've switched my Louise and Kudo MDDs to DDP.

Limited model MDD heads, or at least these two, are definitely smaller than the average DD head, but work fine on DDP.

At Dollpoint I've seen quite a few very cute DDH-10 on DDP. - I think its a great match.

 

I'd also say the DDH-14 looks great on a DDP as well. This combination can sometimes be found modeling clothes on the Volks web-store.

In case you're interested in how a DDH-09 looks on a DDP, I've popped one of my 09 heads on Iori's body:

The head seems a tad bit big, but it doesn't look too out of place. With a less mature faceup, this may work very well.

 

And while we're at it, swapping heads around: Grown-up Iori anyone?
