Is it possible to make a MDD not look like a kid?

Was curious if this is even possible or if I should aim more for DDS or DDY. I kind of want a smaller doll that can be carried around easily and not take up too much room. At the same time I don't want one that looks like a kid. Any help with or without pictures would be highly appreciated. Like different Dollfie heads on MDD like ddh06 or if there are othe rbody options to make them appear older.

I think a MDD is always going to look like a child or ‘chibi adult’, particular because of the chubby hands. If you are interested in vinyl anime dolls that are more mature than MDD but smaller than DDS, I would recommend Azone’s 50cm range, Angelphilia (Ellie in particular) or Tinyfox’s 1/4 range (note these aren’t actually vinyl but a hard and heavier plastic, although apparently similar in feel.)

Thanks! I will check these out, I haven't heard of Tinyfox's but it sounds pretty cool.

We have a thread for Tinyfox here, I recommend a look as people have posted comparisons with MDD and DDs here and there. They’re also a fraction of the price of a MDD which is a plus - I don’t own one so can’t personally attest to their quality but they seem very good for a doll of that price point (fullsets seem to be under $300 usually, and can be bought through dealers like New Clover Singing. There’s various Azone threads too in the obitsu subforum of course, the Tinyfox one has just been particularly active atm.

You could go with DDP as opposed to DDS. DDP look less like a kid, but they have more limited option parts like busts and hands.

Are ddp a new thing? I haven't seen that yet. Going to look real quick.

Oh this is nice ..."DDP body is compatible with both DD and MDD hands" According to the volks page. Not sure how crazy either would look on it.

Akihabara Dolpo used a DDP Coron to model the various hand sizes. 

I'd say the head matters more than anything for child vs adult-looking. DDH-11 with a larger bust on mdd might be what you want.

Unfortunately this head is D'Coord only, which is exclusive to Japan. If you do want one, you'll have to purchase via proxy if you aren't Japanese.

Anyone have a ddh-06 head to show what it looks like on MDD and DDP?

DD hands would be way too big. MDD hands are more workable, but are not going to be perfect either. Sadly, Volks doesn't even sell DDP hands separate from the body.

Oh darn, that's misleading of them then on their site. Thanks for getting back about this before I made a purchasing mistake XD

 the sculpt looks cute for sure too. I may have to try and find what the ddh-06 looks like on MDD or DDP now.

You can attach the hands to the wrist, so technically it does work, but they look oversized. I think @foo posted photos of Iori wearing DD hands at some point.
