MrFjmg03 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Hello, everyone. First at all I hope you all are doing great. I'm from Mexico but I been living in USA half of my life. My 1st language is Spanish, but I speak very bad English too. I'm 27 years old. I discover DD about 5 months ago a month later than I discover the BJD hobby. Since then I been obsessed and in love with Dollfie Dreams. I absolutely love how they look like Anime character. I Love to see pictures of DD specially those with the dynamite body. I love the way dynamite body looks because it remind me the body of women from the late 1950's to late 1960's. I love the hips. About a little more than two weeks ago I got my first bjd. But after I order and pay my 1st bjd I started saving to buy a DDdy body and a HDD-03. The reason I love HDD-03 so much is because she can look very mature sometimes but others she looks like a sweet little girl. I also love Volks character Yukino. So I finally completed the money yesterday so I order my 1st DD. I been doing some research and I like how many people call DD daughters I think is very cool. So I order my DD from Volks USA. I'm very anxious waiting for my girl to arrive. It will take me a few months to complete her look and buy her some clothes because unfortunatelly I don't have the greatest job ever. My job is not bad but is not that good and it kind of hard to save some money for other thing that are not for paying bills. Well that's all about me I hope I haven wrote to much. I hope to met lots of people and learn more things about the Dollfie Dream world. Edited February 12, 2012 by Guest
dreamcore Posted February 12, 2012 Welcome! I think all of us here can agree about loving the aesthetics of the DD ^.^ Are you planning on giving your DDH-03 a faceup yourself, or commissioning someone else to do it? You'll definitely learn a lot here! And the community is wonderful, so welcome and make yourself at home

Poofiemus Posted February 12, 2012 Hey, I think I've seen you in the DoA DD thread, haven't I? Welcome, not-so-stranger! Congrats on getting your first girl. My first is also an 03 on DDDy, so I can assure you it's a fabulous combination. If you're low on budget you may want to consider picking up hand sewing. Granted, sewing for the DDDy isn't exactly simple, but I learned the basics of sewing and pattern drafting on that body so it's totally do-able. Unlike a real person, DDs are small enough that you can get many supplies fairly inexpensively if you know where to look. Instead of using muslin for test fittings, for instance, paper towels are perfect and cheap. For fabrics, check the remnants bin at fabric stores instead of looking at the stuff still on the bolts, since it's usually marked down. And used people clothes, sheets, and curtains from thrift stores are fantastic sources too. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
MrFjmg03 Posted February 12, 2012 Hello, and yes you have seen me there That's a great tip. I will try to do that and see if I can make her an outfit. Probably I won't because I have never sew in my life But thank you so much for the tip. By the way thanks to your pictures of Agatha and the pictures of Puppy52 of Mirai on flickr I felt in love with the combination of a DDdy body on a HDD-03. I actually spend hours on my free time looking at pictures of your girls
SisterKyoya Posted February 14, 2012 Welcome & Congratulations! Your intro post isn't too long, mine accidentally ended up being 5 pages (no joke!) Don't worry about not knowing how to sew, there are people around here who can help if you wish to learn, and other that are just starting out as well. I'm going to be teaching my husband (Ravendruid) how to sew and figured other people might find the info helpful too. I have some posts in my doll sewing blog, Dollies Raiding the Fabric Cupboard, I started earlier this week. With 20+ years of learning to sew for myself and my large collection of dolls, I have just a little bit of experience. I plan on having some basic tutorials up soon as well because everyone has to start somewhere. I just got my firs MDD last week and it has been really fun already! ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

I hope she arrive soon too. Is funny since you told me Tamayuki was a boy now I see him as a boy. Even his face looks like a boy face. Before I saw HDD-03 as a girl only.
