My Dollfie Dream Sister, Emily!

Finally, I was able to snap some pictures of my DDS Karin who I call Emily! I initially didn't have any clothing for her to pose in, just the slip that came with her from Volks. The clothing she's modeling is from SakuraxMushiSHOP on Etsy! The necklace is also from the same shop.

I made a minor mistake of purchasing these little $9 heels from the Volks website while also purchasing Emily... They say they are supposed to fit her feet but they definitely don't, not without forcing them on anyway. I've seen advice of heating up the shoes with a hair dryer so the plastic will be more bendy, but I didn't really feel like doing that so Emily just goes barefoot for now! I prefer to be barefoot around the house myself. Not sure if I'm brave enough to take her outside for photoshoots.

And here is Emily in her usual spot out in my living room, next to Tonberry and Trinket the Bear. Sans is also sitting off-camera. I would like to purchase a nice stand for Emily, probably one from Volks. She actually took a fall from her perch a few days ago! But luckily, she had absolutely no damage other than a few hairs getting out of place. I was a little nervous when handling her initially, but Dollfies are pretty sturdy.

I plan to make some clothing for her myself, especially now that I have a sewing machine. I also think I'll be purchasing another skirt or two from SakuraxMushiSHOP! Their clothing doesn't just fit DDs, they're made more so for SmDs. They have velcro on the back, which makes them very easy to slip on but also gives room for the SmD telescopic stand. But you can see that they still fit my DDS very nicely! Just don't look behind her... 😂

Wow she's a cutie. I was thinking of getting Karin but went for DDS Uzuki Shimamura instead. A DDS is a great little sister for my first Dollfie, DDdy Towa.

I really like the DDS body so I have a second DDS arriving next week.

I haven't had too many problems getting outfits to fit DDS Uzuki. Some sleeves look a little long but actually I think her arms are standard Dollfie length so that's a bit mysterious. Also her school outfit looks a little big on her which is strange given it's made specifically for DDS sized girls.

I remember when my 9S took a nasty fall and he was completely fine! They’re always scary but yeah I’m grateful how sturdy doll goes are

It's been awhile but I finally got my hands on a few new items for Emily! I bought her new wig and new outfit from DollsnShop on Etsy.

The lighting in my apartment isn't so great right now, but Emily still looks so cute! I'm SUPER impressed with the wig. The style is similar to the one that came with her and the quality is impressive. Not that the wig that came with her as default was bad, however, this wig is softer and more full bodied. I didn't mention this originally either, but I did have to trim the bangs on her original wig myself. They were a little too long and slightly uneven. This wig was pretty much perfect right out of the wrapping paper. I had to stretch it a little bit to get it firmly onto her scalp. The picture doesn't completely capture it's color. It's a rosy toned brown and is a bit darker in real life. It gives her a more gentle look than blond wig too.

My favorite part of this outfit is the skirt. It just looks so comfy and I want one for myself! It has velcro in the back and was pretty simple to put on. The shirt is pretty stretchy but does not have the velcro in the back. This was the first time I actually had to pull her head and arms off to put her clothes on! I was a little nervous but it didn't take much effort. Everything went back into place quite easily.

I'll have to take a few more pictures when I can get some natural sunlight in the apartment.

Overall, a good purchasing experience with DollsnShop too. They shipped these items from South Korea and the package was very well wrapped. I even got a little candy to snack on. 😄

Wow it's interesting how different your girl looks from mine, just with a different wig and eyes! The hairstyle is even somewhat similar so I guess it's just the color change maybe.

Shes so cute!!! I really love her sculpt! Your photos actually kind of just sold me on the idea that I should probably get a Karin someday

It's funny how just a wig change can make a big difference. When I walk by where she's perched, I've had to do a couple of double takes! The rosy brown wig just makes her look much softer than the blond, changes her entire vibe.

I'm very happy with her and I think even the official pictures from the Volks website don't do her justice. She has such a pretty face. 😄

I'll definitely agree on Dollsnshop for their packaging!!! I bought these two wigs for my two new Kiddos, (names undecided at the moment, along with an intro post, they're not quite "complete" yet!) 

And I got a snack and a small styling comb, to boot! 

I'll definitely order more stuff thru them!..

I'm amazed that a wig can really make or break a doll's look. Maybe it's the same with human haircuts... who knows.

All I know is that Towa looked really strange with a red wig. I thought she would make a great Ram but it turned out not to be the case. There's definitely a reason she ships with a blue wig.

I definitely need to focus more on wigs and styling next year rather than acquiring more dolls.

Also I like Emily's necklace. Towa's vintage Ikki Tousen gothic set came with a necklace and we really need to find more little accessories like these.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even notice the little comb! Glad I didn't throw it away. 😂

I was tempted to get Towa at first because I LOVE the combo of blue hair/red eyes! I wonder how she would look with the red wig and blue eyes instead? 🤔 I'm a little nervous to change Emily's eyes, since I know they're hot glued in there.

I think if I make another wig purchase, it will be in purple/lavender OR maybe a short haired wig.
