Xiongmao Posted August 18, 2022 I spotted this yesterday in an antiques market and thought it would be an amazing doll photography prop. Sadly it was apparently not for sale, but when I next go back there I'll see if I can drop a Pureneemo in front of it for a quick photo opp. Well if anyone is good with wood & glass then this would be a brilliant little project. Oh and it appears to have a lightbulb in it too. I guess a Dollfie-sized one would be pretty big though. It's perfectly styled for those French style Super Dollfies though. 3 My Dollfie doll family December 2024 😊. Towa believes they are 34 in number.
finnleo Posted August 18, 2022 46 minutes ago, Xiongmao said: little project There is some irony here... That was probably meant as a decorative lamp, and is charming as such, but depending on the scale you want, these things stop being little very fast. If you had 50cm deep bookshelfs you might be able to have some of the depth with a fake storefront, and still have room for chairs and tables outside like a cafe-bistro or something. I've been toying with a full diorama idea of somekind for years, but at 1/3 scale it always comes down to lack of space, despite having half a spare room more or less... also which setting do I want to go with ... Café Alpha, Time of Eve, or what I actually have already made chairs for: Ahnerve (Original main location, ofc...) I did toy with the idea of making a 1/3 scale shrine in my yard, but I expect that drawing perhaps too much attention in the neighbourhood.
Rajke Posted August 18, 2022 Looks interesting. The way it’s decorated with props and furniture is lovely. I did make a diorama a few years ago and it’s still in good condition. The issue I have with it is the 1/12 scale and lack decorations. I found out the hard way that making a diorama can be a difficult thing to do. I have no problems with creating walls and floors. Creating props and decorating is the challenging part. The first diorama I made I also sold because I had no clue how to decorate it. The new owner saw another theme in it and added red carpet and curtains to create a castle theme. It honestly looked better at her place than it did with me. If interested I made a 2 part blog about the build of the diorama in the picture. I named the diorama Cube of Horrific. 1 Greetz, Rajke
