Help deciding on body!!!!

Hi all~ 

 

So, I am going to be getting my first Dollfie soon-ish. I am getting DDH-06, but I am unsure about which body to get. I'm leaning towards DDP, but I'm very picky about head size. I worry the head might be too big for the body. I wouldn't mind getting the DDS body other than the fact that I think it would be too big for me. I have resin dolls and have found that MSD size is perfect for me and I know the DDP body is slightly larger than that. I had a 60cm girl before but she was just way too huge and I don't want to get the DDS body then regret it... 

I'm having trouble finding pictures that help me visualize my future dolly. All the pics I have found of 06 on DDP bodies look good but they are clothed and I feel like that sort of throws off the perspective a bit. Could anyone share photos of their DDP/DDH-06 dollies wearing clothing that shows off the actual proportions? If that makes sense... ^^; And also pictures of any neck gaps that there might be?

My opinion of the 06 on a DDP is that it would look a little large. But that’s just my personal preference

Thats actually a full size DD-Dynamite Meiko, but the DDS isnt significantly shorter.

Silghty out of season photo, but a smörgåsbord of bodysizes with a DDH06 on the DDS:

(Moe and Emilia being DD's, Iori the DDP, and my Mint DDH-10 which is a noticably smaller head on the MDD.)

I started with a Dollfie Dream Dynamite but my two DDS are great (I have Uzuki Shimamura and Kizuna AI). They fit into a wide range of outfits and their DD-f3 bodies are really good (the DDdy can be tricky to pose).

Oh, and really jealous to see Iori above... she's on my want list but I might just get Ribbon and Coron instead.

As for neck gaps, when I got Towa (DDdy) one of my first observations was that her neck was quite long... that might be the same for most Dollfies. I have a lot of outfits with collars and things so I don't really notice it now.

I don’t have a DDP, but I do have the DDH-06, and personally I don’t think it would look right. The head is too big, and depending on the faceup (especially a pre-painted version), it would probably look too mature for the smaller body. The pics in the links above only reconfirm my convictions about this 😅

Thanks so much, everyone! ^^ I really wanted 06, but 10 is pretty cute and might work for what I'm planning.. I'll have to research how to mod the eyes a bit. 

If you decide to go with 10 I would recommend MDD over DDP. There are far more clothing options for the size and plenty of option hands, whereas DDP still doesn’t have any DDP specific hands other than the ones they come with. (They can use both DD and MDD hands, but neither look right to me).

Plus MDD is already in your preferred size range too.

DCH-10 should work on everything from MDD to DD.

Just keep in mind 10 is Dream Choice only, so if you mod it and mess up, your only likely path to replacement is a full doll purchase.
