Link from Zelda Breath of the Wild (DDH16)

Some progress photo of my Link from Zelda Breath of the Wild.

I've been working on the costume since last year but stopped half way due to lack of motivation.

Recently just received the custom-order props from props maker, spikes my inspiration and motivation to continue with the project again!

Just sharing some photos of the costume I've been sewing the past few weeks and the commissioned prop I just received yesterday! 🥰

 

On the Left is new tunic I just remake recently, right side was the old version I made last year. 

 

Received the props from props maker yesterday.
The props maker made me wrong version of scabbard at first, so end up I have 2 version of scabbard.

 

Tested the sheikah slate on DD, perfect size! 

 

Master Sword and Hylian Shield size are just nice too! 

 

Weapons are light enough for DD to hold, I'm really pleased how light they are! 

Also the fur wig I styled from last year, its totally out of shape now.
I'm planning to get a proper heat-resistance wig to re-style it, if anyone interested to take over this wig do let me know!

They look really nice! What sort of prop maker do you commission for this kind of thing?

This is so cool. My sister has always been a huge fan of TLoZ series, I should show her these pictures!

Thank you! 😊 It takes few trial and error for me to get the drafting right.

I commissioned a cosplay prop maker who has very good portfolio, can do define 3D resin printing for small props. 
But he's too popular, I waited more than 6 months for my order to be completed. 😅

I love him in the casual wear. It suits him so well!! I like seeing character dolls in outfits that match their "color scheme" or style. I can just imagine some isekai side story where Link is thrown into our modern day world -- this would be something he'd wear imo

Thanks! That's my whole plan after I have his official tunic done, recognizable hairstyle is the key I guess.

I always like to keep my doll in character but trying different outfits! 😊

Thanks! There's tons of costume I like him to try out other than the official costumes. 😊

No plans for now, unless i come across a sculpt I think really suitable as Zelda. 

Update with styled wig 2nd version, still not very found of the fur wig I prepare previously hence bought a blond wig and styled it properly.

This will be his default wig!

 

Your new wig looks much better than the old fur wig you used, the styling is superb!

Your first wig was nice. This new one is amazing. Looks so incredibly like Links hairstyle.

Thank you! I reference to a lot of cosplayer's wig styling and get to the result I wanted, really happy with it! 🥰

the new wig looks amazing! Trying to find a good wig for my BotW Zelda while her faceup is getting done, but no luck even on taobao.... I can style it, but the right color is very important

I got the new wig from leekeworld, I think they have quite a nice variety of blond wig. You can check them out. 😊
