TokyoDoll 60cm Tiara review and comparison with DD

I apologize if the pics are a mess, I had a hard time figuring out how to get them in order here ^_^;;;

Its very difficult to find photos of Tokyodolls online so if anyone is curious, here she is. I'm happy to take additional pics if anyone wants!

I ordered Tiara thru JapanDoll Direct on Sep 4, and she arrived on Oct 11, so super fast TAT for production! It probably wouldve been a little cheaper to order through HobbySearch but I have heard bad things about their communication, and they didnt have her listed in the skin color I wanted. I really fell in love with Tiaras smiling version because her normal and 'o' face sculpts are very sleek and sexy looking. I think its very cute that her smile is a little goofy in comparison.

 

One thing I did notice right away is that the silicone attracts dust and hair, everyone knows that. But what i didnt know is that it LITERALLY attracts it though static electricity. I thought she was just sticky but she was literally shocking me every time I tried to move her. Putting on the powder helps immensely.

 

Her movement is somewhat limited, but posing looks a lot more natural than with a DD. The weird areas are knees and elbows. There is also zero wrist and ankle swiveling. Like they can move back and forth but no other way. I was a little timid to manhandle her into any extreme poses yet.

The box was very plain, just white with her name on it. She is in their darkest skin color "orange", and is on the 60cm "Fetiche"  large bust body

Her head came off in transit.....The neck peg is similar to DD but its smooth so the head removes easily.

Her head parts is solid silicone, no headcap or internal parts. You have to remove her eyes by yanking them out of the sockets ;_;

Her face painting is a little basic, but I plan to add to it. She also had a lot of dust and crap stuck to her face from rolling around in the box.

Chest painting has a lot more details than the face lol

She can not stand on her own. Maybe she could with shoes on, but i think not. Shes very top heavy because of the head, You can feel where the internal wires end in the balls of her feet. Her hands can do more realistic poses than I expected but Im very scared of the wires breaking through. You can definitely feel them in there. I think you should avoid making fists, and be reeeaallly careful when putting on shirts.

She has one consistent seamline all around her like she was cast in two pieces front and back. That doesnt bother me but this neck one kinda does. Its not visible from the front, only the sides.

Uni-butt, cheeks are sculpted but the buttcrack is solid

To my surprise, her measurements are closer to DDDy than DD. This is a comparison to a tan DDDy (with a modded S bust)

Legs arms are noticeably shorter than DD

 

Luckily she has no problem standing up with a saddle stand! She is wearing a DDDy outfit here. Its not too difficult to dress her but tight pants might be a pain.

Thanks for posting this! I’ve been wondering about these dolls. The sticky silicone and wires potentially snapping are a turn off, but her body does look better, and that first pic of you holding her hand to balance her is adorable.

I've been thinking about these dolls! She's super cute. I have heard that silicone dolls are hard to dress because they're grippy, but I love he aesthetic of a doll being near seamless.

Her smile is awesome too ^_^
