Grover864 Posted October 14, 2022 First post after intro, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place. TLDR > Do D'Coord ever come in a box that's not yellow? Everything I can find shows them in the yellow windowed box. I've just placed an order for my first DD (along with other things) after only researching these for a day. (You can see my join date here.) The item I'm getting is listed as a D'Coord DD. From what I can see it has everything pictured it should (minus certificate) and looks accurate - body, head, faceup, eyes, wig, doll point sales outfit, and a concept note booklet. But, the box is really bothering me. It's EITHER a white box with a rectangle cut out of it and a yellow box inside that one for protection OR a white box and a yellow D'Coord rectangle sticker stuck on it. I'm really just trying to find out if this is legit and I'm worrying over nothing or otherwise. Since I've never actually seen any of these things in person and having to go off internet searches/YT unboxings. I know someone here will most likely know more than I've been able to find. TIA! Can't post a pic yet, so I'll try to describe it... White box, Front= gold crop circles (lol), VS logo, Volks Inc at bottom, Yellow rectangle between the crop circles that looks just like the D'Coord yellow I've seen. Side 1= Dollfie Dream in their font. Side 2= volks jp url. Back= More crop cirles, logo below that, JP contact info, warning info, etc.
ragnamuffin Posted October 14, 2022 I’ve never bought a D’Coord so I can’t say for sure, but besides the yellow boxes, I’ve seen the white boxes with yellow crop circles and even pink boxes for the MDD-sized ones. Where did you get it? If it’s from Mandarake or Dollyteria, you don’t have to worry about it being a fake. They make sure only to sell legitimate dolls (not that that’s really a problem with vinyl). Grover864 Posted October 14, 2022 Hi! Thanks, I actually just found out that they did officially come in this type of box (in 2021 at least) from another poster on here. Not being a "branded" character led me to believe it was legit since the only info I could find about fakes were just two really well known characters. The box part just threw me off. And it wasn't from a reputable site like those, just an auction. At this point I'm convinced it's real. Glad to just be excited to see her and not have the anxious feeling (like I had made a mistake) I was having before!
Grover864 Posted October 14, 2022 In case someone else is searching for this, here is the post that eased my worries.
Monty Posted October 14, 2022 I’m wondering if the box colour change happened after the change from DDIII to f3 - I know the standard model boxes are yellow for the DDIIIs and white for the new f3 versions. *twitter*instagram*art*

As far as I know, this is only true for the online lottery D'Coords. Last time I contacted a proxy about D'Coord (earlier this year?) they said Doll Point still uses the yellow boxes. Grover864 Posted October 18, 2022 That's interesting. So it could technically be yellow or white and still be a fairly new(ish) model (f3) then. There's been a lot to take in for sure. And based on the naming conventions these companies choose, they apparently don't like to make it easy.
Roxanne Posted November 8, 2022 (Slow reply as I did not see this until now but I still wanted to reply.) I am so glad my post was able to help you out and make you feel better about your purchase I do not know for sure why some select few boxes are white, but if I had to take a guess based on my expierence I believe the white ones are from D'coord lottery, as I won this doll through the Volks lottery last year. And I would assume that the yellow ones are for regular D'coords you pick up in-store. It would make sense then why there are less white boxes around, if they were exclusively for the lottery. 1 My instagram! ♥

After seeing your post the only anxiety I was left with was the shipping costs 🤣 Appreciate you taking time to respond here though! Thanks again! 1
