Could someone please: DDDY+DDB/DDSB

Hello! I would love to know and see if and how a DDDY bust might fit on a DDB and/or DDSB torso? With either DY legs or B legs! Pretty please? 😬🫣

Ah, yes officially this is true. However a LOT of people have modded busts to work with other models. So naturally I'm curious!

I believe the frame is the same across all of them, but the DY bust would be missing needed vinyl as opposed to needing the vinyl trimmed off to fit.

If you want a boy doll, but one with very large breasts, you might be better off looking at Peach Pai since those fit regular DD torsos.

What I don't know is if the DDB/DDSB torso will take regular DD girl busts. If it does, then Peach Pai should work in theory. There also might be someone here with a male DD and Peach Pai they could try on.

DD & DDS can technically swap busts, but the fits aren't perfect. IMO a DDS lower torso looks fine swapped onto a DD body, but if you swap a DDS bust onto a DD it's a poor fit IMO. The DDS hips are actually larger than DD hips, but I think this is mostly due to a rounder butt as opposed to width.

I used a caliper to measure the hip at the widest point and the DDS is slightly larger. There is a slight gap at the torso join, but it's maybe 1 - 2 mm and barely noticable.

My Mio Akiyama is wearing a DDS lower torso here:

Sorry, I know it's not as helpful when you can't see the joints, but Mio is a bit shy and has some sort of phobia about showing her panties. Everything else on her is stock DD-f3.

Totally off topic but my girls are shocked at how many outfits don't come with pantsu these days!

When Kaito arrives I might try a bit of bodyswapping with DDdy Towa, but it might have to wait until the next Halloween.

Volks rarely includes underwear in their outfit sets. The bigger issue is that many dolls don't include them, and that's one of my pet peeves with Volks. Dolls should always come with underwear, because it's such a basic element that many outfits require. I get that they're trying to lower costs on each sale, but basic underwear is pretty cheap, and full doll should always have panties imo.

I did a one frame photo story once that made fun of that. All the dolls in the photo shipped without panties in their basic set, or had a pair that was essentially useless due to design. Like Luka's are dark black so she's never worn them, and Kos-Mos got a tiny thong.

Don't get me wrong, the designs made sense, Luka's are black because white ones would show in her default oufit, Kos-Mos' panties work with her default outfit, but Rei not having underwear is an issue for her TA Academy outfit with it's super short mini skirt. Rei Hino is a proper lady who does not walk around in public sans pantsu.

I now have a DDS lower torso that I'm going to put on Jeanne d'Arc while I stain treat hers. She's not shy, so I'll take some bikini shots to show the fit.

I still cant decide which was more amusing, the in series gag with the blue-striped rice bowl as a place in picture, or that they actually made a blue-striped rice bowl as Mio specific merchandise.

Or the fact that many Japanese schools require white underwear, some even have a policy of lifting the girl's skirt to check, so Mio accidentally outed herself as a closet rule breaker. 🤣😂🤣

Here are some comparison photos. Utena is 100% DD-f3, and Jeanne, normally a DD-f3, has a DDS Lower Torso but is DD everywhere else.

 

 

You can see a bit of a gap at the join between upper and lower torso, but otherwise it's a great fit.

The main reason to do this is slightly wider hips on the DDS torso, so imo a better leg fit, and DDS has a rounder cuter butt. Plus the mix and match of body types allows for a bit more uniqueness to the doll's look imo.

The advantage of the DD lower torso is rounder hips, whereas the DDS one has a flatter slope.
