I sadly don't have one to try it out myself, but yeah, I agree that e changing the hands of the Imomos is really the biggest pain, even if you heat them up and all.

Thank you for this, changing the hands is always such a pain, even with heating them up.

I believe the original idea was from @0bsequi0us , so all the credit goes to them! XD 

It has definitely helped me change hands much easier though, and I plan to do the same mod to any future Imomos I get.  

For the MDD hands on Imomo pegs - I wonder if you filled the hands with putty, would that help keep the hands on the MDD pegs?
Could be worth a try, but I don't have an MDD yet, apologies!

I'll definitely do that with mine as well!

Regarding the MDD hands, I sadly also don't own any, but I don't see any reason why it should't work pretty well with a bit of putty?

Are these customer comparison pictures? If yes, she looks pretty different from the product pictures, oof ...

On screenshots it is a real Photo from the original doll from imomo. Here is another one - it seems all. dolls will be that quality. Solas are not maiden now, but I think they will be the same terrible face but tan skintone.

I am very sad  about this situation - I have 2 dolls pre-ordered, both are  not shipped now and there is no information given by the firm about how they will look like and when will be the shipping.  :c

faceup is totally different!

I'm still waiting for my Sola to be shipped to bhiner but I'm afraid I'll be disapointed.....

The wig also looks a lot less detailed compared to the product photos, what a shame.

yup it's looking less sharp. Sloppy molding.

I wasn't planning on using it so it's not so disapointing for me, but it's definitly not what I expected.

Oh wow, such a shame to see these differences. 
I really wanted to order/buy just some of the hard wigs, but I may have to see owner photos first. 😕 

Just received my Sola and .... she's cute and her skin color is really nice, but... I'm a bit disapointed.

Face up is not as detailed as promised, mouth is just a red spot on the 3d shape of the mouth. Eye make up is ok.

The eyes are not shiny at all, they are so matte.

The clothes are just .... bad..... the only thing that I like is the socks. The outfit is just plain vinyl. Some parts are just going to tear apart if you pull a bit too hard.

Shoes are too big and made in a rubber like plastic that is too flexible.

The solid wig is not as defined as promo pictures. It is really heavy for the head and doesn't stay together, even with the magnets. You have to remove the scalp to put on the wig

I'll try to take pictures tomorow or friday.

 

I wasn't expecting volks quality for this fulllset, but I was expecting better. I still like her and I'm sure she'll look gorgeous once I dress her in my taste.

Sometimes images are better than words, I made video as review. It was better than pictures.

You can see her sleeves there, they are to small to put on, even when I removed the hands.
 

 

Thank you so much for making a video, this helped a lot! I can see what you mean now, and wow I would be a bit disappointed to. Especially after such a long wait.

I hope the other sets aren't as bad.
Has anyone gotten the egg girl fullset in yet? I wonder how they compare...

I still have yet to get my Sola, still waiting for Mydollection to receive and send them. But yeah it is a bit disappointing that the outfit and hair is so how should I say... trash quality? I need to remember that prototypes aren't always the final product. The socks and bodysuit is probably the only thing worth keeping and throw the rest of the outfit away. I have to see how I feel about the shoes, I kinda like that they're plastic shoes, like the ones from Volks, only it's a lot more flexible.

The faceup seems fine. However I'll probably pull out my brushes and to change her eyebrows, every pictures I seen until now, they look so faint. At the end of the day I'll probably be happy that I got another tan doll in my collection.

Aideen, thank you for posting the video along with your details on the quality of the full set. Honestly, now I'm scared about the quality of the rest of the full sets. Earlier this year I ordered either Pine or Chestnut (whichever one was the male full set), and can only hope the quality is slightly better . . . . But I doubt it. T__T

Oof, yeah that has to suck for everybody who got their fullest dolls ...

I really like Imomo for their blank dolls and I am happy about what I get for the price, but this is very disappointing.

My Sola is supposed to be coming today... and she will probably be sent back tomorrow if i can figure out how to return her. I'm super disappointed. Hate that this will be my introduction to Imomo as I've heard and seen mostly postives other than what happened to these girls.

The fullset is disapointing, but the doll itself is pretty cute. Except for the mouth the faceup is decent! Maybe you'll love her when you see her. I'm already in love with mine. I just never will use the fullset!

Just wanted to share a picture of an MDD armor set I purchased last year from Doll Nouveau. Bought it specifically for my Imomo, and I'm so glad it fit her! I will need to purchase the small bust piece to be able to get the chest armor piece on, but everything else fit so far. 
(I still need to paint it, so this was just a fit test!)

Really cute!!! I am waiting for my Sola and because of this photo now I am in a good mood. Want to try white wig for her not plastic. I want to see her when she comes to make a final decision. It is very sad that imomo fooled us.
