Good luck to those of you going after her!  I'd say it's a problem that Yor and her alt outfit have to be purchased separately from the other new items, but it's not likely you'd get her if you try adding anything else to your cart, anyway.   

Aw man.. having to wait until March for the outfit kinda sucks. But hopefully this means they have a lot of stock planned and both Yor and her outfit will be easier to buy.

It might mean they don't have a good estimate how popular she will be, so they may be holding back on some production.

Possibly, she was the last one to sell out at Dolpa (though it was pretty close between her and Arc) so I somehow had it in my head she was the least popular. So the preorder surprised me. But they could have brought more of her to the event. I wish Volks was transparent on this stuff to better gauge demand as a consumer but I also understand not revealing that type of info.

I'll have a go at the clickwar. I haven't seen her reach Mandarake yet. I heard she was a lot less popular in Japan than Arcueid was, but that may be the opposite for the overseas market.

I haven't seen a huge amount of hysteria about Yor in FB groups - certainly not as much as for Kaito. I also think many doll collectors will be saving up for Rin/Len - now that will be a major clickwar.

Those are supposed to be pre-order. We don't have details, but most likely it will be a short wait with a full prepay at the start.

Looks like there is going to be a lottery for her on Volks usa. I wouldn't mind another DDdy.

hmm.. well, the game of refresh was not so amusing as always ... But at least one Yor + outfit scored ... yay, now can go back to sleep at 3:20 am. (daylight savings almost got me too..)

 

Also as a side note, having to order the outfit separate was also annoying, although the shipping wasnt too bad, but added another round of waiting to see if it all went through.

@finnleo Congrats on securing her! She’s worth the trouble for sure. Hope everyone that wanted her here got one!

I managed to score the outfit so am very pleased! Now to find a suitable long hair style for her.

I wish Volks would improve their website performance during click wars but it only took about 15 minutes for two checkouts this time. Which is good as I had a train to catch. 

Sadly, I was not one of the lucky ones. Its amazing how the Volks site started working again once she sold out.

Looks like I'll be gambling on VolksUSA having her at some point.

all in all I was in and out in about 20 minutes for both doll and outfit, even after trying to add the outfit to go with the doll only to be rewarded with the "You cant order any other items with this item in the cart" message.

The biggest worry for me is previous experiences with hickups in the payment process phase, which would have lead to a not so fun time, but no issues luckily.

but yea, no regrets between Yor and Arc... especially after the second season episodes with her getting drunk as a skunk and literally kicking the crap out of Loyd, and also the gag with the tennisball.

That tennisball gag was quite brilliant. Yor didn’t really go the direction I expected in the anime and I kinda love that about her.

I considered a hime cut since they are easy to source but it doesn’t quite feel right. She canonically doesn’t have straight bangs. But I likely don’t have the time to find the perfect wig so may just go with hime. The high ponytail makes sense but I’d need a workout outfit!

I actually really want her pink coat outfit but haven’t found anyone making that or something similar just yet. It’s a super classy look. With Yor in her default for a month now I’m going kinda crazy wanting another outfit. Maybe I should steal 2Bs maid costume.. hmm.

There’s a hair stylist in Akiba who cuts doll wigs if you really want it a particular way.

I love that that exists but seems crazy to pay extra for what is a pretty basic hair style. I can see them being useful for more crazy stylings though. 

I managed to get Yor & her outfit, Arcueid's extra outfit, and all three kimono. I love Arcueid's design, but between her and Yor there was just no contest. I loved Yor in Spy x Family so she had to come home. Not sure I'd eat her cooking though...

I cannot wait to see your pics of Yor! I love the portrait style you do with your girls. Congrats!

Thanks, thanks to an earlier post, I'm looking forward to trying a Ponytail wig on her. Think it will look good with her sweater dress.

I had a really frustrating time. From 09:55 onwards the site was inaccessible and by the time it let me in again everything was sold 😟.

I guess the only good thing is scalpers probably bought 90% of them, so she will appear for resale at some point. Yahoo auctions was recently flooded with my SD's extra outfit.

I think Arcueid has the better outfits, but I'm not familiar with her. According to the wishlist numbers, she's significantly more popular than Yor.

The Yahoo! Japan prices I saw for Yor & Arc a few weeks ago weren't too bad.

Yea, considering she is a prime Yandere at heart they kept her as a cute goofball.. actually the whole series has gone more comedy than expected, more Scarecrow & Mrs King, than Mr & Mrs Smith. Still expecting something like what happened at the end of Season 1 of Witch of Mercury with her though...

There is the white album Rina's everyday set thats sort of there but not quite, fluffy collar and sleeve ends, and is split at the middle.

EDIT: and also after closer inspection its indicated for an M-bust, so a non-starter that way too unfortunately.

It's been a pretty torturous day agonising over Yor. Arcuide is pretty cute too. But funds are low and I'm also wondering what wonders Volks may have in store for us during 20th anniversary year.

The Yors and Arcuides on YA are being snapped up pretty rapidly. I wonder if there is likely to be a further few of them appear once the clickwar orders are dispatched in March? Or will those go mainly to overseas collectors?

One thing I haven't seen appear for sale is Yor's red dress outfit. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's very iconic, and Towa definitely has her eye on it!

There should be some more appearing once they ship the orders from the after event but I suspect many collectors are waiting for that or the VolksUSA lottery so no guarantee you'll get a good price. The lowest I expect Arc to go for will be 85,000yen if lucky but likely her price will go over 100,000yen as she is hugely popular amongst Type Moon fans. And Spy X Family is also very popular so who knows but probably similar story to Arc.
