KitnKat Posted November 6, 2022 Found this forum thru Reddit and recognized the banner photo! We are Anna and Cory (we share joint doll accounts) and we are Smartdoll parents since 2019 and recently added 2 large Azones and trying to add our first Dollfie Dreams (we have not been lucky in the lottery system yest). I also have dipped my toe or two in the resin bjd scene. Anna is a doll collector since the OG MH series and then it just snowballed from there. Cory loves using the dolls as models for photography and telling stories with them. He is a huge anime fan and collect figures and such. So Anime style dolls are his favorites. Anna loves sewing and crafting. With a history in photography, she gets to live out her fashion fantasies. Also love building and playing with dolls in dioramas. We are in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia - about an hour outside Washington DC in our "country house" with about 20 head of deer and 14 wild turkeys as "non-domesticated pets" in the back yard. We are both grandparents but our grandkids live out of state. Cory is also a Lego AFOL. We do have a shop to support our doll habit, lol 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Xiongmao Posted November 6, 2022 Welcome and yes we love doll photos here. I also had a Lego thing but it takes up way too much room so I think I'll stick to dolls in future. I watch a lot of anime and want to improve my doll photography. My lighting rig arrived from Amazon today and it looks like it has great potential. KitnKat Posted November 7, 2022 Yes, same Kit and Kat - we do mostly magentic jewelry, some patterns (SmD, Minifee and RH) and we are expanding to scale props. But photography and love of dolls is first and foremost! I haven't done our updated "family" photo yet (we decided to do a Christmas card each year). The crew are up to 16 and doing 12 last year was a task. At least they don't blink, lol.
