Rin Has A Valentine Admirer!

In honor of Valentine's Day, we had a secret admirer gift exchange. Today's story is what happened to Rin on Valentine's... Watch her tough outer shell give way to girlish glee as she unwraps a series of thoughtful gifts from her admirer.

 

 

Rin: "Hmmm.. I ought to get more summoning practice in before the next grail wars start. I wonder who I will get this time! Well, of course, I'm practicing for a Saber, since only the strongest of servants will do for a lady like me."

 

 

Rin: "Das Material ist aus Silber und Eisen. Der Grundstein ist aus Stein und dem Großherzog des Vertrag...."

 

 

Rin: ".....Du bist der Himmel mit dreien Wortseelen. Komm, aus dem Kreis der Unterdrückung, der Schutzgeist der Balkenwaage－!"

 

 

Rin: "Success!" *smirk*

???: "Welcome home, Master!"

Rin: "Well, yes, I am a Master, but who are you? Not a Saber or Archer, and definitely no Lancer. Erm.. Caster?"

???: "Maid."

Rin: "M.. maid?! (gah, this is NOT the kind of Servant I had in mind... *sweatdrop*) So..... what is your special power? Green tea restorative balms?"

 

 

Maid: "No. Package Delivery. Here you are, Master; a package came for you today!"

 

 

Rin: "Oh, I see. Thank you."

Maid: "I shall take my leave of you now." *bow* *poof*

Rin: "(I wonder what this could be.. I haven't ordered anything lately.)"

 

 

Rin: "...Well that was short-lived. My German pronunciation must have been off..."

Rin: "*grin* Now that no one is around, let's see what's inside!"

 

 

Rin: "First up, a large Valentine pillow and two mini pillows with a heart-and-jewel theme. Festive seasonal decorations for my sofa! (Red and black go together ever so well, and they're just my style: simple, yet elegant.)"

 

 

Rin: "Next is a handmade valentine with a sweet message inside. What does it say? Why, I can't share that! But I have an admirer."

 

 

Rin: "Next is a pair of necklaces. Someone seems to know my family affinity with jewels! There's a green jewel on a dark gold chain, and a red jewel on a light gold chain. These are my favorites so far."

Rin: "My other hand holds some new white and red clips for my hair - which will come in handy for a new style or as decorations all on their own."

 

 

Rin: *dig dig in the package like a meerkat* "And wow, there's still more. Next up is.. what's this? Hey, it's me! How cute!" "V!" (It's a laminated hand-drawn ornament.)

 

 

Rin: "Thank you, dear admirer, for the elegant and thoughtful gifts that fit both my magecraft and my decor."

 

And that is the story of Rin's Valentine's Day package. Although Rin didn't mention it, there was also a note for me included... In response: more pictures!

The 2nd and 3rd pictures are well kit and give the impression that some sort of magic is taking place.

 

As who is the maid. I do not know either, but i'm sure all will be revealed.

Yes they did! And so many cool things, too. Rin really likes them. She has a couple charm necklaces, but those were her first necklaces with jewels in them. They give her well-loved outfits a new look to them, which is interesting. Even though you'd think I'd know by now, I'm always surprised at how different a wig, eye, or jewelry change makes a daughter look.

Oh HOH, that is a GOOD question now isn't it. Sharp memory. Who is she indeed?!

 

Thanks to this board rekindling my interest in buying more doll things for Rin (never knew there was such an active secondary market for DDs outside of YJA), I've ended up buying several doll-stuff lots from folks in the last couple of months. This girl was made of a body, head, outfit, and wig from four different lots... I needed a maid for the Fate/SN "servant" pun in the story, and realized I didn't need to wish; I had enough parts to simply build her.

 

I didn't intend to acquire another full daughter.. it just sort of.. happened that way. ^_^; After the photoshoot I have left her assembled, and she's been trying awfully hard to work her way into becoming the second official member of the family after Rin. Will she tug on the heartstrings hard enough??

Hey, thanks. A summon spell was indeed the effect I was going for, and it's nice to know that it was communicated successfully. I thought the pics came out reasonably neat, but that's always first-person bias to like your own stuff. This was my first time trying different lighting for a picture.

Indeed. Rin still has no true idea who her secret admirer is. She's guessing perhaps it was one of mitsuki's many daughters, based upon a mention of colder weather inside a note. But you never know!! Whoever it was did a good job of being "secret" ^_^.
