Male Dollfie Dreams?

I'm really liking the idea of different body types...well mostly the beefcake one...

I would LOVE a male DD. I have some "boys" but they are either on a S bust with baggy clothing, or SS bust.

I think its about time they start making male models, i know for a fact that many in the hobby are wishing for it and that some are already modding doll to make them male.

 

Danny Choo might consider making a "Smart Boy!!" Comments found at the bottom of the Smart Doll page.

 

If you want a male for your DD collection, leave a comment so Danny knows there is a demand for vinyl 60cm males!

that looks cool indeed. think its the only reason i would buy a smart doll XD but I don't like the hole they have in there backs.. but I guess it could be edited out..

Good to see that Danny is open to making male dolls!

Still, I hope that it will encourage Volks to make their own males. Were I to have a boy doll, he would be a brother for my girl, and I would want them to be as similar as possible.

I would love to have some boys. I still marvel at how there is pretty much only one option for a vinyl boy and even that boy isn't so great. I think I want a Smart Doll girl o.o So cute...

Personally, I don't think Volks will make a boy DD until someone else does, or that the custom ones are numerous enough to have a distinct pretense.

 

Not to say Volks is being mean or anything, but if enough Boys exist, they will see its "Safe"

See Danny listens to his customers unlike volks that just want to re sell there "limited" dolls for more money. thank you Danny you are going to be swamped by many owners wanting his body!

After I've made so much noise the last 2 1/2 years about DD boys, we finally have real hope! (I don't attribute any of this to me though, it has just been a long and frustrating battle.) I find it funny that this announcement came out as I'm waiting for a male Obitsu torso to get through that mail that I was going to test on various DD bodies. I'll still see if it works, but having a complete male DD style body (no hideous Obitsu joints!!!) is a holy grain in itself.

 

I think it was a very good thing that I'm trying to get my own Mirai for a character I need... who dresses in boy clothes. I'm hoping to have a head start. Plus Lucas only has a few more steps to be completed, and Ralph recently went through a growth spurt and needs a whole new wardrobe. Now I have quite a few real reasons to work on drafting male outfits.

I'm happy over the announcement of Eiji, however I think I need to wait and see a prototype before I jump up and down in joy.

I'm really curious to find out what height they finally settle on for him. Hoping for close to 65 cm. It will also be interesting to see whether he gets "Free!" style abs.

Awesome news! I, too, hope that he's 65cm- and actually 65cm, not the more like 61cm that tbe biggest Obitsu body seems to be.

You hope for this? I could have my own Rei... *dreamy eyes* but that would still leave him without his Nagisa (or be an Obitsu.) Then there is Mokoto too. Dang you mister! Don't get me started! As if my list isn't long enough already, and it only gets worse with you egging me on.

 

I think it is too much to hope for that Eiji's body would work for Tiger & Bunny. Or just Tiger.

Well, to be entirely honest, the main reason I'm hoping for that is because I don't want to have to hear (and read) hundreds of hours of complaints from a couple of women I know of who would be horribly upset if he couldn't go around shirtless without looking wrong. Not to mention that Tama would probably cry if his new friend wasn't happy, and that would upset Yuriko (even if she couldn't understand what the problem is ("He's just a boy... Who cares what his chest looks like It's not like there's anything worth looking at anyways.")).

 

Anyways, I do want them to look good. And besides, if he's going to be a strong, protective Onii-chan, he does need to have some muscles.

I'm so excited! I know the first boy won't be perfect but at least its a start. I will totally buy an Eiji. I like how Danny is open to feedback too. I think this is a great thing really. I do believe we'll get our manly guys eventually, but starting off with someone more cute would probably be good for now to ease them into things XD
