Loose DDP shoulder joints

Recommended Posts

Anyone has tips on how to tighten DDP (DDIII) shoulder joints? Mine has trouble holding her arms up because the joints are so loose. Alternatively, could I replace her arms with the newer model f3 arms without changing her entire frame?

All DDP are F3! Iori and Yayoi were the very first DDP and the first dolls to introduce the F3 frame so there is no DDIII version.

Volks has instructions on tightening the F3 frame here: https://dollfie.volks.co.jp/dd/special/imas/en/support_ddf3.html

Oh, wow, thank you for the info and the link! I assumed she was the earlier model because some of her joints seem so different form my MDD. I guess I was wrong!

Np! Hope it helps out!

That's actually really interesting that there are differences in the joints though. I did hear there were some between DDP and other F3 dolls (I think it was something about the wrist) but I'm not sure what exactly.

DDP was essentially the prototype for the f3 frame generation. That's why they bring most of the f3 features to the table (and are considered to be f3) but have a few differences compared to the other sized f3 frames. - For me most notably, no torque adjustable elbow joint.

Can't say I've noticed any difference in their wrist poseability compared to my larger DD-f3s. - So not sure either what that could be.

I believe the difference was that the wrist on the DDP has the tension ring that you have to push until it clicks into place.
